Terrific pressing, great mastering. Rate a 180gm pressing always feels solid!

Got turned on to this album after hearing a guy at open mic doing “16 Days”, googled the lyrics which led to my first conscious Whiskytown song. Enjoyed the sound of the album on YouTube, so grabbed this vinyl.

A real go to album when you just want to unwind or chill; and sounds amazing on vinyl.

Exceptional mastering, mine sounds way beyond what I thought I would get from it. Nice quiet pressing. Great album.

Hey I have two of disc one, identical copies of disc one. Does anyone have this problem, or two discs two?

Nice vinyl package and the live tracks are a great addition. I wouldn't say the mastering is awful, but there's a sibilance problem throughout, and one of those ones where lowering your treble actually makes it even worse. I'll probably stick with the Deluxe 2-CD version for my best listening experience, but this is worth having on vinyl regardless.

My copy of this has 7 tracks on side 1, the first 4 as listed on the back and the label, but also the next 3 (Everything I Do, Houses, and Turn Around). I thought I was going crazy at first when I flipped it over and heard the same 3 songs again. The etching reads B001-10200-1-A-RE-1 NRP U

The wide-spine sleeve almost guarantees inner sleeve seam splits if ordering online.

This album is really solid from start to finish. Lord knows by now that Ryan Adams can be somewhat hit and miss and produces prodigious amounts of music, but boy oh boy did he (and the rest of Whiskeytown) get it right at this point, on this album.

ANY BAND THAT associates itself with the wide open road; slaps a deserted highway picture on the back or in the sleeve; reveals themselves in various unpretentious poses handily at their instruments of creation or in front of a blurry photo behind a bottle; will perk my interests and get my dollar down. So I was standing on the floor of the Fillmore in San Francisco four feet in front of Jay Farrar when this guy from an unknown record label (Tar Hut Records) starts telling me about this band WHISKEYTOWN and have I heard of them?; to look for their record and listen to it... the next day I did.

The mastermind behind this band is David Ryan Adams, multi-instrumentalist (guitars, banjo, piano and percussion), singer and songwriter. And out of all the band members that sing I find his voice the most pleasant. Ripe to pick as one of the better insurgent bands a.k.a "alt.country" that fits perfectly between SON VOLT and WILCO - their songs are honest little gems that just feel and sound so good. By that I mean they place the fiddle and organ (and various insurgent trademarks like banjo, lap steel guitar, desperate gravely vocals and last gasp breaths into a harp) in just the right spots in and around the background. "16 Days" and "Waiting To Derail" rock very nicely indeed. And "Losering" gets stuck in my head from time to time as well as the starkly beautiful "Turn Around" ('Wanted damage so I damaged it some / We used to have it all now I just got some'). I can only see the sun getting brighter for this band - and if I get blinded along the way - at least I'll still have my hearing.

Wonderfully mastered LP! Not sure if my copy is different given that it's a repress with the same stampers.
