Minigames have always been popular since being featured on many Minecraft YouTube channels. These minigames can be great for those who are competitive or for a group of friends looking to have a fun gaming session.
10 Build Battle
Creative building in Minecraft is great when you want to plan something out, but when you add a time limit to it, that’s when it becomes very interesting. That’s exactly what makes Build Battle so much fun.
In Build Battle, you play against different people where everyone gets the same build idea, and then you have a set time limit to complete your build. After the time limit is over you then look at everyone’s builds and rate them.
The top three players' names are put in the chat and while you don't win anything physical, knowing others loved you build is very rewarding.

There are plenty of minigames that can be both on Minecraft servers or downloaded to add your own single-player worlds. Parkour is very popular among Minecrafters but have you ever tried to do Parkour while running around like The Flash?
X-Run is a very fun and, a lot of the times, frustrating minigame due to how fast you’re running. The speed of your player is increased significantly, so you are zooming through the course.
You then try to complete the Parkour course but be careful because one wrong misstep, and you have to start all over.
8 Spleef
Spleef is one of the original minigames that helped define the multiplayer experience in Minecraft. What makes this minigame so fun and popular is the strategy and chaos that goes into each game.
Players stand around on a field, made of usually snow or TNT, and try to break the blocks under opponents to make them fall into the pit causing them to lose. This happens until there is one player left standing.
Anything can happen, and you have to be aware of your surroundings because you could end up falling into the pit if you’re not paying attention to where the holes are.
7 The Walls
PvP has been a staple of Minecraft multiplayer servers and there are a good amount of minigames dedicated to them. If you are looking to test your skills and see how quickly you can get geared up and get ready to fight then The Walls might be for you.
This minigame gives four different teams 15 minutes to gear up and build their defenses before the walls drop. Once the walls drop then it's all four teams fighting till there is only one team left standing.
Each team is given a shop and perks to choose from which help with things like easy access to an enchantment table or golden apples.
6 Block Hunt
Hide and Seek has been a favorite game to play both in real life and in video games. Minecraft, like a few other games, turns the classic game into hide-and-seek with a twist.
Block Hunt is Minecraft’s version of Prop Hunt made famous by CS: Source and Garry’s Mod.
This minigame has a team of hunters and a majority of people hide and disguise themselves as an object. The goal of the game is to not let the hunters win.
There are many unique places to hide on the map and ways to mess with and throw off the hunters. This game is great to play solo or with a group of friends.

The concept of Murder Mystery has been around for decades, but there have been different versions of the game. When it comes to Murder Mystery in Minecraft, this minigame is made with a simple goal in mind: stop the killer.
Players start off with one murderer and one sheriff. Equipped with a sword that one-shots players, the goal of the murderer is to take out the whole lobby without dying.
The only way to stop the murder is for the sheriff to shoot him with a bow and arrow. Other players can get a bow themselves if they find enough coins around the map to trade in for the weapon.

Parkour has become a very fun and challenging minigame in Minecraft. Running around and completing a course filled with perfectly timed jumps and maneuvers can be challenging for all types of players.
There are many beginner-friendly maps to learn how to Parkour. Maps and servers can range from very easy courses to expert-level courses. Then there are other additions that can really make Parkour maps competitive by adding on timers, levels, and scoreboards.

3 SkyWars
There are different variations of PvP minigames that can be fun, challenging, and competitive. One of those is SkyWars which you and other players fall onto an island filled with random gear that spawns in chests, and try to win by fighting each other or knocking each other into the void.
There is a wide range of strategies to SkyWars such as rushing other players off of spawn, building up defenses and fighting long range, or third partying other fights. All maps have a center floating island with good gear which is usually the hot zone for fights.
You can play solo, in duos, or in teams. Some servers even have daily and weekly challenges along with leaderboards and server rewards.
2 Survival Games
If you played Minecraft around 2013 then you know of the wildly popular minigame known as The Survival Games. The minigame is based on the book and movie known as The Huner Games in which players fight till there is one player standing.
There are many different maps to play on across various servers. You start off surrounding a cornucopia of chests with items, which most players run to, but there are chests scattered around the map to find other gear and weapons.
Thanks to YouTubers like CaptainSparklez, BajanCanadian, and AntVenom, The Survival Games became an extremely popular and successful minigame.
1 BedWars
BedWars might just be one of the most popular PvP minigames on Minecraft. This game mode is very straightforward but can be very competitive.
Much like the name of the game suggests, players fight to destroy other teams' beds. In BedWars, your team gathers resources on an island, which is iron, gold, diamonds, and emeralds, to buy items in their shop.
All the items are weapons and gear that help them prepare to fight the other teams and destroy their beds. Once the bed is destroyed that team can no longer respawn so covering the bed with blocks and defending the bed is crucial.
Like most PvP modes losing can be frustrating but once you achieve a win it can be very satisfying and rewarding.
