Matt Huffman (Republican Party) is a member of the Ohio State Senate, representing District 12. He assumed office on January 1, 2017. His current term ends on December 31, 2024.
Huffman (Republican Party) is running for election to the Ohio House of Representatives to represent District 78. He is on the ballot in the general election on November 5, 2024. He advanced from the Republican primary on March 19, 2024.
Huffman was sworn in as the state Senate president on January 4, 2021.[1]
Biography
Huffman earned his B.A. in Government from University of Notre Dame and his J.D. from the University of Cincinnati School of Law. His professional experience includes being a partner with Huffman, Kelley, and Becker and Brock, as an attorney for the United States Court of Appeals for the 6th Circuit and United States District Court for the Northern District of Ohio.[2]

Elections for the Ohio State Senate took place in 2016. The primary election was held on March 15, 2016, and the general election was held on November 8, 2016. The candidate filing deadline was December 16, 2015. Incumbent Keith Faber (R) did not seek re-election because of term-limits.
