eliwriting Chip Albers ate it up on the screen. Definitely Nibbelinks best work behind marmaduke. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/10/24 Full Review Mandi B BEST MOVIE EVER THE ONLY ADAPTATION OF ROMEO AND JULIET WORTH WATCHING. F SHAKESPEARE THIS IS BETTER THAN THE ORIGINAL. A TRUE WORK OF ART. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/24/23 Full Review Rebekah S Watched this as a kid and absolutely loved it <3 it may be a weird movie now that I rewatched it as a teen, but the nostalgia is sweet. I guess I'm a little biased :) I know. However, this movie will always be a treasure to me Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/16/23 Full Review Jose L This is a fun movie watch with my friends. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/28/23 Full Review Audience Member This take on Romeo and Juliet isn't really a good movie. I'll admit it's worth watching just for the impressive character animation all done by one guy, an ex-Disney veteran but the saccharine tone, obvious low budget when it comes to things other than character animation (visually bland backgrounds, simplistic colouring, obvious corner-cutting with either static images being stretched or lazy CGI), annoying characters (not one to read the room once you realise what's happened to your buddy, eh, Mercutio?), forgettable songs and questionable choices. The consequences of this being a one-man project are that nobody was around to tell our committed director that some of his choices are bad ideas. Mainly, the titular duo's character designs. They look cute, I suppose but it really makes things uncomfortable when you've got the seal whom Juliet is supposed to be marrying much bigger and uglier. Made it look like pro-pedophilia propaganda. And no, the fact that Juliet was 14 in the Shakespeare play doesn't make things any better. Why would you think that? All in all, Sealed with a Kiss is admirable for the fact that it was a one-man project 4.5 years in the making but when judging the finished product, it's just a fundamentally terrible movie that at the very least showcases how talented the director is as a character animator. Gnomeo and Juliet, while mostly just okay, is a much better family-friendly adaptation of one of Shakespeare's most tragic plays. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/23/23 Full Review Audience Member This movie is so good everyone who thinks it is bad it wrong, dumb, and stupid. Please watch it I love the seals and when they are in love.
