Vote up the Kingsman movies that bring the most to the secret service.

The Kingsman franchise is one of the most fascinating action movie series out there, with its Bond-esque vibe, modern sensibility, and over-the-top harshness. All of the Kingsman movies make it feel like you're watching a film from another time while simultaneously being in the present, which not all action movies can achieve.

It's no surprise the Kingsman movies have done well, considering they are based on a comic book by the same name, written by Mark Millar and artist Dave Gibbons. This film franchise follows the Kingsman organization, a fictional British secret service organization specializing in code names - linked to Arthurian legend - cool gadgets, epic fight sequences, and saving the day.

A new film titled Kingsman: The Blue Blood is on the horizon, and in the meantime, the franchise's current three movies are all worth watching.

  • What Are The Gentleman Up To? Kingsman: The Secret Service, the first film in the series, is about enlisting street kid and petty offender Gary "Eggsy" Unwin into the Kingsman Secret Service, which, unbeknownst to him, his father was a part of while alive. Eggsy isn't the most law-abiding citizen, but agent Harry Hart sees potential in him. While Eggsy is still learning the ropes, he has to help with a global emerging threat and prove why he belongs in the service.

What's The Bad Guy Up To? Arguably the best film in the franchise, Kingsman: The Secret Service is made all the better by its villainous plot. In this film, Richmond Valentine, played by Samuel L. Jackson, is a megalomaniac, wealthy tech genius who wants to solve the climate change crisis by killing off most of humanity through a neurological wave broadcast. Poor logic, perhaps, but the minds of villains are hard to understand. Anyway, Valentine goes to extremes to get what he wants, allowing audiences to see some of the best action scenes in cinematic history, which are a throwback to some of the best James Bond films.

Coolest Weapons: On the surface, the fountain pen looks ordinary, and like any other pen a business person would carry, but it's actually loaded with poison. Although the poison is harmless when ingested, it becomes a deadly concoction when an agent activates it by pressing a switch on the pen itself. Besides the pen, the secret agent's suit is also a weapon. Not only is it a weapon of disguise that helps the agents look dashing, but it's also bulletproof.

Most Kick-Butt Scene: The church fight. The directors crammed nonstop entertaining action into this 4.5-minute scene. Not only do we get to see cool gadgets and epic hand-to-hand fight sequences, but audiences are also thrust into the chaos of Valentine's murderous technology.

Best One-Liner: "I'm a Catholic wh*re currently enjoying congress out of wedlock with my Black Jewish boyfriend who works at a military abortion clinic. So hail Satan, and have a lovely afternoon, madam." - Harry Hart

    Kingsman: The Golden Circle

What Are The Gentleman Up To? In this sequel to Kingsman: The Secret Service, a year has passed since the Kingsman defeated Valentine, and Eggsy Unwin is now a fully indoctrinated secret service agent. Life is good until it isn't. When the Kingsman headquarters are destroyed, and the world is held hostage by an out-off -control drug cartel, it is up to Kingsman and a recently discovered US spy organization known as The Statesman to team up and defeat their common enemy.

What's The Bad Guy Up To? The enemy is Poppy Adams, the head of the world's biggest drug cartel. While posing as being part of a pharmaceutical company, she laced every recreational drug she could get her hands on with a deadly toxin before it was distributed globally. The drug causes mania, then paralysis and death. She tells the world about this drug through a broadcast and states that she will give the antidote only if the US president ends his war on drugs. If this isn't wild enough, the US president refuses because he sees it as an opportunity to have every addict in the world eliminated. Of course, the Kingsman agents cannot let this abide, so they team up with The Statesman to try to eliminate Adams and her cartel while nabbing the antidote.

Coolest Weapons: Numerous cool weapons including a grenade lighter, an umbrella with a concealed blade for close combat fighting, and X-ray vision spectacles that allow the wearer to see through walls and objects.

Most Kick-Butt Scene: The diner fight scene, where Whisky - a Statesman agent - turns on Harry and Eggsy. During this scene, Whisky almost gets the best of both Harry and Eggsy with his electrified lasso and pistol, and there is no backup in sight. Not only is he cunning and smart, but Whiskey also uses his surroundings in Poppy's Diner to his favor by hurling kitchen equipment at both Kingsman agents. Eggsy is almost shredded in a meat grinder. Eventually, the Kingsman agents win, but it's an intense fight that putsaudiences on the edge of their seats.

Best One-Liner: "If I save the world, can I have two tickets to your next concert?" - Harry Hart to Elton John

    The King's Man

What Are The Gentleman Up To? The King's Man, a prequel to Kingsman: The Secret Service, has just as much action but far less humor and a significantly more emotional undertone. This movie follows Orlando Oxford, founder of the Kingsman organization, as he tries to manipulate world events without resorting to violence. Unfortunately, he learns that for lasting results, there might be no choice but to use violence when he is up against a group of deadly criminals.

What's The Bad Guy Up To? Instead of one villain, a group of villains are working together to plot a war that will eliminate millions of innocent people. As history's worst criminal masterminds and tyrants work together - think Rasputin, Gavrilo Princip, and Felix Yusupov - Oxford does everything in his power to stop them from achieving their goal of global instability.

Coolest Weapons: Although The King's Man is set in the early 1900s, it does not lack cool gadgetry, including a poison ring used by assassins for covert missions, a dagger-tipped cane used by Oxford for discreet violence, and an explosive pocket watch used for creating distractions or targeted destruction.

Most Kick-Butt Scene: In European history, Rasputin is one of the most mysterious figures, and The King's Man draws on this history to create the villain Rasputin, a mystical monk and influential agent in the plot to create widespread chaos. In the film, Rasputin is almost impossible to kill, seen during the best action scene in the movie, where Conrad and Shola fight Rasputin. Rasputin puts on a performance akin to the Russian Ballet as he leaps, spins, and dodges the attacks of Conrad and Shola. Eventually, he is eliminated, but it isn't as easy as expected.

Best One-Liner: "Protect our son. Protect him from this world and never let him see war again." - Emily Oxford
