WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University men's soccer team announced its 2022 spring schedule on Wednesday afternoon.  The Hoyas will play five games culminating at the annual Spring Soccer Cup hosted by Wake Forest on April 10.

Spring Soccer Cup

• The Spring Soccer Cup features 10 of the elite programs in college soccer including two College Cup qualifiers and the NCAA Champions.
• The 10 schools include Georgetown, Clemson, Wake Forest, North Carolina, Duke, NC State, Maryland, Virginia, Virginia Tech and Pitt.
• Together, these 10 programs over the last four seasons have combined to earn 30 NCAA Tournaments bids, eight College Cup appearances and three National Championships.
• Each program will participate in three matches in league play prior to arriving in Winston-Salem for the final event.
• At the end of the three league matches, the finals matches at Spry Stadium will be determined with the 10 programs being seeded. Shuffling amongst the seeds can be done if a repeat opponent is scheduled.
• Three points will be awarded for a win in regulation. If matches remain tied after 90 minutes, the opponents will go directly into penalty kicks with the winning team earning two points and the losing side being awarded one point.

Schedule Notes

• All four scheduled opponents were not part of the 2021 campaign.
• Home games against Wake Forest and Rutgers are scheduled to take place at Shaw Field.

• 3/20 vs. Wake Forest - Noon
• 3/26 at Virginia Tech - 4 p.m.
• 4/2 at UNC - 3:30 p.m.
• 4/10 at Spring Soccer Cup – Noon
• 4/23 vs. Rutgers - Noon
