Bernards High School Intergenerational Gold Prom Returns After 5 Years

The event is open only to senior citizen residents of Bernardsville, Peapack-Gladstone, Far Hills and Bedminster.

BERNARDSVILLE, NJ — After a five-year hiatus, the Bernards High School Intergenerational Gold Prom is returning.

Local senior citizens are invited to attend the 13th Annual Intergenerational Golden Prom from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, May 3, at the Bernards High School Cafeteria as guests of the Bernards High School students and the BHS Key Club.

Organizers are urging seniors to RSVP to CherylMaddaluna@aol.com or 908-953-9027 as close to April 26 as possible by either by phone or email. There is no cost to guests and advance registration is recommended as space is limited.

The event is open ONLY to senior citizen residents of Bernardsville, Peapack-Gladstone, Far Hills and Bedminster as well as any senior citizens who are graduates of Bernards High School.

9th through 12th grade students will host a fun evening of Dinner, Dancing, and Intergenerational Sharing and Interacting amongst BHS students and Senior Citizens.

"This wonderful event always brings our students and senior citizens together in a happy, fun, meaningful and heartwarming way. It has always been, since it's inception in 2008, a highlight of the year for both our students and Senior Citizens," according to the BHS Intergenerational Gold Prom.

As with past years' proms, there will be some nice surprises and door prizes for all of the senior citizen guests throughout the evening.

In addition, two special guests, as selected by students, will be crowned queen and king of the prom.
