Do you hate traffic? We all do. If you’re looking to join the party on The Strip, but you don’t want to drive, Uber or take a taxi, you can always take The Las Vegas Monorail.
One of the best ways to get up and down the Las Vegas strip is by riding the Las Vegas Monorail. Trains arrive every 4-8 minutes to all seven stops along the rail.
Economical, convenient, and eco-conscious, it doesn’t get better.

Vegas Monorail Hours of Operation
The Las Vegas Monorail doesn’t run 24 hours a day, but the trains are open seven days a week. The current hours of operation are:
- Monday: 7 am – 12 midnight
- Tuesday: 7 am – 2 am
- Wednesday: 7 am – 2 am
- Thursday: 7 am – 2 am
- Friday: 7 am – 3 am
- Saturday: 7 am – 3 am
- Sunday: 7 am – 3 am
Las Vegas Monorail Route and Maps
There are seven stops on the Las Vegas Monorail with the entire route taking only 14 minutes from the first stop to the last. Visitors who are attending events at the Convention Center or shows on the strip don’t have to worry about parking or fees.

Passes and Prices for The Las Vegas Monorail
If you are spending the weekend or an extended amount of time on the Las Vegas strip the unlimited passes are your best value. However, it is possible to purchase single ride tickets as well.

Riders can buy tickets in advance online where a purchase receipt and back up link to access the tickets is provided via email at tix.lvmonorail.com. You can download the barcode for your tickets onto your smartphone to scan at the ticket kiosks found at all route stops for ease and convenience.
Children under five ride the Las Vegas Monorail for free but the pass fees apply to everyone else regardless of age. Monorail tickets are good from one year from the date printed. The expiration date is printed on the top right-hand corner of your ticket. When purchasing tickets online, you will have one year to redeem them. Unlimited Ride passes start from the first scan of the ticket when you board the monorail for the first time.
The Las Vegas Monorail Stations & Stops
Each stop along the Monorail route is a station inside of a hotel or the Convention Center. The monorail stations are almost always found towards the back of the hotels, and some signs and arrows will point the way. Security guards patrol monorail stations, and all have ticket kiosks where passes can be purchased.
MGM Grand Monorail Station Stop
There are two monorail entrances at the MGM station. The first is located in the MGM “District” near the Grand Garden Arena. The second is accessible inside the MGM hotel by heading towards the Lobby from Las Vegas Boulevard then taking the escalators behind the bell desk to The Underground. From there, follow the posted directional signage to the monorail which takes guests up another escalator to the fare gates.

Paris/Horseshoe Station
Access to this station is available through Horshoe but is easily accessible from Paris Hotel as well. From Horsehoe, you will walk through the casino and take the escalators down to the Avenue Shops. Continue through the shops following the signage for the monorail. You’ll walk through the food court, Sports Book, and past the spa before exiting to the monorail fare gate. From Paris Hotel you’ll go past the lobby towards self-parking. Walk over to Horsehoe via the connector bridge and go through the casino, down to the avenue shops and continue to follow signage to the fare gates. As far as a great afternoon walking around in Las Vegas, Horsehoe station is a winner.

Caesars Palace/Flamingo Station
Of course there’s a station at one of the most well-known hotels in Las Vegas and the world, Caesar’s Palace!
The Caesar’s Palace/Flamingo Monorail Station is located at the Flamingo and is easily accessible by entering the Flamingo and walking through the casino towards the hotel lobby. Once you pass the retail stores, you will take the escalator up and get on the connector walkway by following the directional signage. The sidewalk and station are located next to the parking deck entrance.

The LINQ and Harrah’s Station
The Station for The LINQ and Harrah’s is outside behind these hotels near the parking garage for Harrah’s. From Harrah’s casino, guests will walk towards the hotel lobby and follow directional signs to the monorail.
Just before reaching the lobby, guests will head up the escalator leading to the parking garage and follow the signs to the automatic doors that lead outside to the Harrah’s/The LINQ connector. From The LINQ, monorail riders will follow signs from the hotel lobby to the self-parking and monorail. Walk through the shopping areas and take the escalators to the second floor then follow the signage until you exit and are outside on the station platform.

The Convention Center
The Monorail curves a bit to take guests to the Las Vegas Convention Center, home of events like CES and Cowboy Christmas. You can find the station platform by exiting the convention center at Paradise Road and crossing Silver Driver to walk through the parking lot and towards the monorail station marked with signage.
An escalator and elevators are available to take you to the monorail ticketing level and the station platform.

Westgate Station
The Westgate is on Paradise road just a block off the strip, not on Las Vegas Boulevard and is a large, resort that has recently been renovated to include the World’s Largest LED video screen.
You can find the Monorail at Westgate Station by following the monorail directional signage from the Main Entrance that leads out exterior doors near the front of the property. Just north of these doors, to the right is the monorail exiting exterior doors.

SAHARA Station
The SAHARA Station is the northernmost point on the Las Vegas Monorail route and is found at SAHARA—a large resort with a convention center, sportsbook, and casino.
Monorail signage is visible everywhere inside the resort that leads to the walkway to the station located right near the Alexandria Tower. An Escalator will take riders to level two where the platform is located.

Other Tips and Info You Need to Know:
The Las Vegas Monorail is wheelchair accessible and ADA compliant. All equipment meant to assist people with disabilities is welcome on the train including motorized scooters and wheelchairs.
Refunds are not typically available for the monorail passes but refund requests submitted within 45 days of purchase will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis for events such as machine malfunction or system delays.
No refunds are given for damaged, lost, or stolen tickets. Partial refunds are not available for passes that are not used for the duration of their time.
