Outline

Beth and Rip take on a new responsibility, John makes a decision about Jimmy's future at the ranch, a discovery halts progress for Market Equities.

Summary

Beth visits Jaime in his office, says he is responsible for the attack to the ranch and vows to kill him. She then meets Bob, reproaches him for lettinh Market Equities get control of Schwartz & Meyer and swears to take everything from him.

John is still recovering from his injuries, but he's determined to get back on the horse. He goes for a ride alone, which worries Kayce, but John assures him that he's following his doctor's orders. John says Beth thinks Jaime is behind the attack to the ranch. Kayce disagrees, saying Jaime leased the land to Market Equities instead of selling it, which aims to please John. He adds that the militia wouldn't fight for Jaime in the first place. John suggests that Kayce ask Jamie to investigate the attack; if Jamie doesn't do it, then John believes that Jamie was behind the hit.

A discovery at the construction site of what seems to be ancient human remains halts progress for Market Equities. This prompts Caroline Warner, Chair of Market Equities to visit the area and offer Thomas a lucrative deal in exchange for his help to speed the excavation.

Jaime, along with his father Garrett, buys a small land with a house adjacent to Yellowstone territory.

Meanwhile, Rip introduces Carter as the new stable boy, and John is not sure he's okay with this.

John makes a deal with horse trainer Travis to go on a tour and race horses for Yellowstone which would bring money and fame to the ranch. Lloyd delivers Jimmy to the ranch, and John tells him that he's broken his word by getting back in the ring. John sends Jimmy off with Travis to see if he can make a cowboy out of him.
