Join Bushey Library, Sparrows Herne, WD23 1FA, White Lion Square, Hatfield, AL10 0LD, for a captivating series of events that will ignite your passion for living life to the fullest. Wednesday 5th June from 10.30am – 12.30pm.

Sample delicious food from HILS (Health and Independent Living Support). Try before you buy aids and adaptations with personalised advice from their expert Adult Care Services Occupational Therapists, with free activity aids from Herts Sports Partnership and learn movement techniques from a pro Sports Therapist. Gain the knowledge to perform CPR in emergencies and more.


Wednesday 5th June – Craft Group

Come and join this crafting group, open to all, drop in, bring your current craft project and have a chat over a cuppa. First Wednesday of the month from 1.30pm – 3pm. At Bushey Library, Sparrows Herne, WD23 1FA.


Thursday 6th June – Knit and Natter

Casual meet up of people to do knitting or crochet while having a natter along the way, at Oxhey Library, Bridlington Road, South Oxhey, WD19 7AG. Thursdays from 10am – 11am.


Friday 7th June – Mum’s Walk and Talk

Hello Baby Social is hosting a Walk and Talk for mums with babies up to 12 months old. They will be meeting at King George Recreation Ground, Chiltern Avenue, Bushey, WD23 4RF. Friday 7th June from 10.30am – 11.30am. To book click here


Saturday 8th June – Summer Fayre

The Oxhey Village Summer Fayre will be back for its 48th edition on Saturday 8th June from 1pm. There will be dozens of stalls, Food and drink, entertainment, fun and games. At Oxhey Village Green, Lower Paddock Road, WD19 4GU.


Saturday 8th June – Saturday Singing Circle

This great group supporting those living with dementia,, meet every Saturday afternoon from 2pm – 4pm. At The Clitheroe Centre, Clitheroe Gardens, South Oxhey, WD19 6RP. With songs and memory games and refreshments.


Monday 10th June – Over 50’s Badminton

Take it at your own pace, enjoy the social aspect, meet new people and above all, stay healthy and moving. Do not worry if you d0 not have a racket, everything you need will be provided. IT Champions offer one-to-one support, problem-solving, and online safety advice for users of the library computers and WiFi. At Bushey Library, Sparrows Herne, Bushey, WD23 1FA. Every Monday from 2.30pm – 4.30pm.


Tuesday 11th June – Baby Fair

Baby Fair events are for expectant parents or parents of a child under 1 year, bringing together everything you need to give your baby the best start. If you are pregnant, meet other expectant parents and pick up some pre-loved baby clothes. Tuesday 11th June from 1pm – 3pm. At The Bushey Centre, High Street, Bushey, WD23 1TT.


Thursday 13th June – Brush Party

Join Brush Party, the UK’s Paint and Sip experts, at The Three Crowns, 1 High Road, Bushey, WD23 1EA, on Thursday 13th June from 7pm – 10pm, to paint their fabulous theme ‘Stargazer’ You do not need to bring anything apart from yourself, they provide everything, a quality canvas, all the paint you need, brushes, and aprons. Saturday 15th June – Watford Pride Picnic

Watford Pride Picnic is the first event of it’s kind in Watford, organised by Impactful Lives. It is a free event, just bring a picnic and they will provide the entertainment. Wednesday 26th June – Open Mic Night

Come, and perform songs, tunes, poetry, acappella, stand up, mime and anything else you can think of. The mic is open on the last Wednesday of the month from 8pm – 10.30pm. At The Horse and Chains, 79 High Street, Bushey, WD23 1BL.


Saturday 29th June – Summer Fayre

St Meryl School in Carpenders Park, The Mead, WD19 5BT are hosting a Summer Fete on Saturday 29th June from 12 noon – 3pm. There will be games, inflatables, stalls, refreshments and more.


Saturday 29th June – Bushey Festival

Bushey Festival are delighted to announce they are returning to Bushey Rose Garden again at this summers festival for an afternoon of music and they are thrilled that it has been chosen to be part of Hertsmere’s Golden Anniversary (that’s 50 years). Join them for an afternoon of varied and entertaining music in the beautiful surroundings of the Rose Garden, High Street, Bushey WD23 3HH. Free admission.


Saturday 29th June – A Night on Broadway

Sunday 30th June – Open Day at the Forties Experience

Come and see the 1940s rooms and play with a collection of 1940s toys and games. Visit the military museum and the Dig for Victory garden. Experience a WW2 jeep ride and a guided tour of a bombed out street scene with an air raid warden. Period attire is welcomed, so come along and experience a trip back to the Forties. Saturday 6th July – Compassionate Cafe

A drop-in session, in partnership with Red Trust Bushey. It provides a space for members of our community who have been affected by any type of loss and would like to come along for a friendly chat and a chance to meet others over a cup of tea. Sunday 7th July – TrackPlay

A fun and entertaining time for kids who love trains. With over 500 feet of Track and over 100 Thomas and his friends trains to choose from. Kids will be raving about the experience for a long time . Sunday 7th July – Festival in the Park

Free entertainment for all the family on Sunday 7th July from 1pm – 9pm. This year’s festival will culminate with their Festival In The Park. At the King George Recreation Ground.


Friday 26th – Sunday 28th July – Beer and Cider Festival

Bushey Beer and Cider festival is coming back Friday 26th – Sunday 28th July. This charity festival will have drinks, live music and games with monies going to Lupus UK and MacMillan charities. At The Three Crowns, 1 High Road, Bushey, WD23 1EA.


Thursday 12th September – Karate Club

New karate club starting in September at St Peter’s Church, Bushey High Street. They are experienced and fully certified instructors, safeguarding DBS certified, and first aid trained. Together with their Blue Light Card special offer for the heroes in the community
