Professor Louise D'Arcens explained how medieval themes are all around us, whether it's architecture, TV shows, movies, literature and more. Australia also has a number of popular medieval fares where people dress up, including one in Blacktown happening this weekend.

Stephen Hand, who teaches Elizabethan sword fighting at the Stoccata School of Defence, discussed how he made his childhood passion his life's work, and the art and history of duelling. 

Blues on Broadbeach at the Gold Coast is currently underway and R&B soul blues singer, Cass Eager, gave a taste of how it's all going. Cass, who has been described as Amy Winehouse and Sharon Jones' love child, also shared some iconic stories, including how she performed for Prince Harry and gave him guitar lessons.   

New Zealand author, Barbara Sumner, recently published her debut novel,  The Gallows Bird, which is a historical fiction drawn from the true stories of female convicts. She discussed what life was like for convict women when they arrived to Australia.

Andrew Romano dived into the US news of the week, including Donald Trump's trial, Joe Biden and Donald Trump agreeing to hold two debates before the election in November, allegations at the Miss Universe organisation and more.

On You May Have Missed This, writer, producer and comedian, Carolyn Swindell brought a variety of quirky stories like a Chinese zoo dressing dogs as pandas, and a rare piece of lego being found at sea.
