Hotel recommendations.

Hi everyone.

I’m beginning to plan a trip to Tokyo and am looking for advice on firstly the best area to stay and secondly some hotel recommendations within that area.

I realise that’s a really difficult question but I’d really appreciate some advice.

We’re a couple in our 60s. Ideally we’d like somewhere close to a station. If it was within walking distance to a few sights well and good but if not we’ve no issue using the underground system. Budget wise…… nothing too expensive!!

Thanks in advance.

"Budget wise…… nothing too expensive!!" = what's your specific nightly hotel budget in yen?

Meanwhile = https://trulytokyo.com/tokyo-districts/ = districts of Tokyo.

4. Re: Hotel recommendations.

I stayed at the Shinjuku Washington Hotel ten years ago as a single 63-year-old female traveler. It was adequate. Most of the time I was out and about anyway. Nightly rate about ¥18000.

I liked that there is a bus from either airport to the door: https://shinjuku.washington-hotels.jp/location/

I flew into Narita Airport and could buy a ticket inside the airport.

The Meiji Jingu gardens are about 700 m from there. Shinjuku Station is 600 m.

#4 is a budget hotel, not close to Shinjuku Station either.

If you can afford 50000 yen a night, how about Hotel Metropolitan Marunouchi?

It is next to Tokyo Station and also you can get to Tokyo Metro Otemachi Station by approximately five minutes.

Keio Plaza is a good suggestion. It's a solid 4* hotel in a great location.

I like the Hibiya Blossom. Get a high-grade room there.

Look into the Shibuya Excel Stream and Hotel Indigo if you like a very lively area.

Shinjuku Washington, no. It's not a good hotel. There are many better hotels in Shinjuku.
