Let me start off by saying this.. Kenny Rogers was one heck of a talented recording artist. His vocals are one that..just make you want to join in on a "Sing-a-long"... When he died last year ..I felt a sadness .. such a grief . I grew up listening to his songs on the radio, seeing him on television. Back in the 1990's he use to own a chain of restaurant's called "Kenny Roger's Roaster's". They had a location in Casselberry,Florida that I would drive out to . They were around for many years and I have only one regret.. and that was not seeing him in concert before he died. Kenny was one of those singer's who had an appeal that spread from many racial,age and music genre's. The song "Lady" was written by the talented Singer,Song writer,Arranger and Composer Lionel Ritchie. Yes when I was growing up I would listen to this song .. "The Gambler" . Never had an opportunity to watch the movie on network television. Now that I stumbled upon it on Amazon Prime .. I enjoyed it. Second let me say this .. Kenny isn't a great actor..But many recording artist from Frank Sinatra,Elvis Presley,Diana Ross,Barbra Streisand have entered that realm. Some have succeed like Ms.Streisand,.. while other's tend to get lumped in. The cast was a who's who of television and supporting character actor's. In my ending I shall say if you are a Kenny Rogers fan you will enjoy him on the screen. There are some scenes where they show his second wife Marianne Rogers.. I recall she was on "Hee Haw" back in the day.. In Mr.Rogers words.. It's time to " fold em'.
