There’s much beauty to explore in Sonora like our own Dragoon Gulch Trail where you’ll travel along a natural creek and take in spectacular views of the city. Of course, nearby Yosemite and the High Sierra offer several exhilarating trails as well.

Parks

There are several beautiful parks in Sonora like Prospector Park, home to historic mining equipment and the 49ers Rotary Park that includes a skate park and the “Heaven for Kids” playground.

We’re proud of our historic origins and it shows. Right in Sonora, you’ll find the Veterans Memorial Military Museum, Sonora Fire Museum and the Tuolumne County Museum.
