East Campus

Springfield College’s expansive campus includes East Campus, which features 57 acres of forest ecosystem, a mile of lake shoreline, camping facilities, a boathouse, and a southwestern building. Students can rent canoes and kayaks and enjoy an outdoor adventure just a few miles from the College.

Discover what we have to offer. Tours are offered year-round, with the exception of a few different weeks throughout the year. Tours are typically offered three times per day, Monday through Friday. We also offer Saturday tours on some select Saturdays.

Land Acknowledgement

We acknowledge that Springfield College stands on the traditional homelands of the Indigenous Algonkian people known as “Agawam.” The Agawam were closely related and diplomatically connected to the Quaboag to the East; the Podunk to the South; the Woronoco to the West; and the Nonotuck, Pocumtuck, and Sokoki to the North. We acknowledge the memory of these Indigenous nations who, after having inhabited this land for more than 10,000 years, were displaced in the 1600s to 1700s by English colonial settlers who exploited Native generosity and provoked warfare. We acknowledge the surviving Native nations of what is now called “New England”: the Nipmuc and the Wampanoag to the East; the Mohegan and Pequot and Schaghticoke to the South; the Mohican to the West; and the Abenaki to the North. We affirm, honor, and respect the sovereignty of these and hundreds of other Native American nations across North America that survive today.

Our Facilities

Springfield College boasts top-notch facilities that combine function with artistry, while maintaining the historic beauty of the campus.

In 2017, we completed renovations on our 45-year-old Babson Library to convert it into a modern learning commons that now serves as the center for academic life on campus.

In 2023, we opened a brand new Health Sciences Center empowering transformative approaches to education, career enhancement, service, research, and leadership in healthcare.
