Casa Pennington has been here for years and I have dined here numerous times for the oysters and seafood. The oysters and scampi are the best.

Another visit with friends to this cosy restaurant in Causeway Bay. It was packed on a Fri night. The manager told us we need return the table at 930pm but in the end we didn’t need to. Service was average. The food was still as tasty - but the portions seems smaller though. The oysters were fresh and tasty. The clams were abit salty though. The 3 main courses we choose were also quite nice. Reasonable mid range place to dine with friends.

來到周末,終於可以放下沒完沒了的工作,實在令人高興。不過其實今天有一件重要的任務,就是答應了友人下午到她家中,照顧兩個整天嘴不停又坐不定的小不點。出發前,決定先找個地方吃頓豐富午餐,好好補充體力。精挑細選,最後揀了 Casa Group 旗下這間西餐廳「Casa Pennington」,店子累積了不少好評,應該係信心嘅保證。 餐廳位於邊寧頓街13-15號隆堡柏寧頓酒店三樓,室內裝潢帶點工業風,但絕不粗曠,格局像酒吧餐廳,內裡沒甚麼華麗裝飾,但環境不俗,陽光透過窗邊的玻璃灑落進來,光猛開揚,寧靜舒適,感覺亦蠻不錯。 先細看餐牌,行政午餐共有五款主菜可供選擇,客人可揀一款頭盤或兩款頭盤配主菜,另外套餐已包甜品,咖啡或茶。我哋每人都揀咗兩個頭盤,一於食飽啲,準備下午作戰。 先來的黑松露野菌湯 Cream of Black Truffle Mushroom (+$38) 用料十足,一端上來就已經聞到陣陣香濃的菇菌味,而且上檯時還伴有兩片多士,份量絕不欺場。舀起一看,湯身質感濃稠,加上廚師放了大量的野菌炮製,入口啖啖都係香郁的菇菌碎粒,拌勻後更散發著松露的幽香,口感極之豐富。 接著是炸蟹球配紅桑子泡沫 Deep Fried Crab Ball With Baby Mixed Fruit & Raspberry Vinegars (+$38),蟹球用上大量蟹肉製作,外層炸得非常香脆、鬆化又不油膩。咬開可以清楚見到絲絲蟹肉,真材實料,入口鮮味滿溢,再伴以紅桑子泡沫,令鮮味更加突出,啖啖滋味。 之後是一客 Pan Seared Duck Foie Gras With Brioche & Lime Sorbet (+$48),鵝肝非常厚身,煎至約五成熟,表層金黃香脆,內裡鮮嫩粉紅。入口外脆內軟,柔潤豐盈,既甘腴又滿有油香。至於伴吃的青檸雪葩,味道亦非常突出,入口甜酸有致,吃罷鵝肝用來清清味蕾,清新解膩。 最後一道頭盤係 Scallop & Mango Carpaccio (+$58),帶子刺身外表晶瑩剔透,上桌時已切成薄片,入口又凍又清新,伴以甜美多汁的芒果肉吃,配搭夠新穎又有鮮味。 食完頭盤就輪到兩款主菜,我揀咗焗挪威三文魚配柚子荷蘭汁 Baked Norwegian Salmon with Yuzu Hollandaise (+$58) 而老公就揀咗 Chef Recommendation 嘅加拿大有骨豬扒。三文魚一送上已即時被其外表吸引,面層的魚皮淋滿柚子汁荷蘭汁,旁邊伴以大量瓜菜,有營又健康。切開細嘗,魚身焗至七成熟,質感嫩滑細緻,入口相當Juicy,最抵讚就是面頭的魚皮,脆口又不油膩,伴以酸甜適中、果香清新的柚子荷蘭汁,教人吃不停口。 至於老公點的加拿大有骨豬扒 (+$68) 亦很值得推介,里脊肉幼嫩滑溜,而且烹調得非常入味,肉香豐盛又多汁,入口啖啖肉,雖然咁厚身,但仍能保持嫩滑口感,實屬難得,只需簡單地蘸少許燒汁吃,已經相當滋味! 是日甜品為 Oreo千層蛋糕,蛋糕外型頗精美,餅皮一層疊一層,層層分明,厚薄平均,入口帶微甜,中間啲 Cream 打得夠滑又幼細,與餅皮形成鮮明對比,絕對係誠意之作。 跟餐嘅凍咖啡、凍檸茶。 這頓午餐吃得非常愜意,由頭盤以至主菜做得很出色,加上美味的甜品,為這頓午餐畫下完美句號。

銅鑼灣隆堡柏寧頓酒店內的 Casa Pennington 位置旺中帶靜,店子不大但空間舒適,滿室柔和燈光,在鬧市中可以放鬆一下吃個悠閒的晚餐。 先來份海鮮冷盤,這裡有生蠔有買一送一優惠,蠻化算的。由淡至濃吃起,分別是愛爾蘭的 Irish Premiun、同樣來自法國的 Mermaid 和 Tatihou no.1。 由海水味較淡的 Irish Premiun 開始,這款蠔身透明感重但肉質清甜爽口。Mermaid 則中度海水味,蠔味軟濃多汁 。最後的 Tatihou no.1 帶原始的海水鹹鮮味和淡淡金屬餘韻,味道濃郁更富層次,不用醬汁已經很美味。另點了兩隻Sea Whelk,海螺彈牙可口,整盤都鮮味十足 沙律選了 Grilled Tiger Prawns Salad,虎蝦切開在蝦身塗抺了香草醬來烤,連殻煎將蝦殼的味道也帶出來,滋味無窮~ 湯品點了 Lobster Bisque 和 Oyster Soup,龍蝦湯加了白蘭地令味道更濃郁醇厚。蠔湯同樣濃稠鮮美,入面還有一顆肥美飽滿的蠔呢 主菜是 Sea Urchin & Crab Meat Linguini,海膽、蟹肉加上藏紅花 Saffron Cream Sauce,令鮮味更為突岀。Linguini 做得不錯而且很有咬口,醬汁均勻地佈滿每一條麵條上,十分creamy 甜品點了這裡的招牌 Pear Tarte Tatin,新鮮焗起的酥皮梨批傳來陣陣清甜的香氣,酥皮批加了焦糖去焗,金黃色澤誘人,熱騰騰又脆卜卜,非常惹味。酥皮批的牛油香和甜滋滋的焦糖香互相融合,梨子清甜軟熟,咬一口,豐盈芳香的梨汁充滿整個口腔,還可以加一點淡奶令整個口感幼滑細膩一點,難以形容的美味,不愧是餐廳的 Signature Dessert~

Tried this place few years ago and recently went back to try again. The food quality was still quite good - reasonable mid range western style restaurant. They have nice oysters and sometimes have some type of promotions e.g like buy one get one free on selected oysters. The seafood were tasty and very fresh. Worth to try it in Causeway Bay Area. Hidden inside a small hotel.

Pan-European cuisine with fair range of seafood and grills to choose from on the menu. Prices are reasonable for quality but servings are a bit small even by Asian standards. Staff are attentive and decor is lovely.

明日生曰,朋友同我慶生。神神祕祕的,原來是柏寧頓酒店的Casa Pennington. 一步入餐廳,室內燈光暗淡, 情調十足,和煩囂的銅鑼灣有著截然不同的氣氛。 餐廳位於酒店內,餐點定價比一般西餐廳貴一點點。Appetizers $98-$198, risotto/ pasta $188-$258, main$368-$438, dessert$48-$168。然而氣氛比一般餐廳更有氣氛。 既然有二三米長的蠔吧,相信這兒的生蠔也有一定水準。這兒的生蠔有成十八種選擇,有南菲、西班牙,法國、美國同愛爾蘭,真的令人花多眼亂,不知如何選擇。而生蠔正值有buy one get one 的special offer, 所以點左其中三款試試。 Namibia( South Africa) 這南菲Namibia的海水味道比較清淡,爽滑鮮美,口感creamy. Woodstown bay( Ireland) 正值時令,蠔身雖然唔大,口感比較薄身。然而肉質特別肥美鮮甜,帶溫和的海水味,吃罷有少少回甘的味道。 Majestic ( France) 嘩,這隻蠔真係正!Majestic蠔身肥美,蠔味濃厚,帶有清爽的海水味,口感細膩又creamy, 而且是三款之中,最鮮甜的,正! starter : Razor clam & crab meat salad$178 Oyster mushroom, mixed garden salad and fresh dressing 這個蟶子沙律味道淸爽鮮美。炒香的蟶子微溫,味道鮮甜。配上嫩口的日本香茹、羅馬生菜和法式沙律汁,口感清爽而輕怡,是唔錯的前菜。 Deep fried crab cake$178 Fresh fruits, raspberry sauce and balsamic reduction 炸蟹餅炸得脆香,真正真材實料,啖啖是蟹肉滋味。蟹肉味道鮮甜,夾著洋蔥的甜味,加埋香脆的麵包糠脆皮,配以清爽的水果點綴,簡單而味美。 Main dish: Spanish Iberico Pork$388 西班牙伊比利亞黑毛豬果然是與別不同。豬扒雖然是厚切,表面微微焦香,然而肉質爽口而不失軟嫩。可能是由於它是食橡果大的關係,這黑毛豬肉沒有豬的羶味,細味之下,仲有著獨特的肉香,而且油花甘潤,味道唔錯。 Dessert /Pear tarte tatin$168 Ripened pear, caramelized pastry 雖然製作需時廿分鐘,但果然值得等待。這梨子撻份量十足!梨子焗到香軟juicy, 味道甜甜蜜,配上酥皮脆撻和口感香滑的忌廉,實在太美味了!梨子味道清甜軟熟,巧遇焦糖酥皮,甜脆脆又富牛油香,加埋忌廉同吃,口感豐盛又滑溜,令甜味變得更溫和,真的叫人吃過不停。 今日在這兒慶祝生日的人唔少,目測已經有五枱人點蠟燭了!四週瀰漫著洋溢的氣氛,不經不覺的,時光慢慢的溜走,兩小時匆匆過去,是一個歡愉的晚上。

deep fried lamb spare rib, truffle risotto, scallop linguini, FR Yellow chicken, Barramundi Tiramisu and Pear Tarte Tatin 。 點上兩種法國蠔:Majestic及st.vaast,前者海水味重,餘韻豐厚味帶鮮甜,後者則海水味鹹,蠔裙邊綠爽口,口腔留有甘甜味。NZ scampi no.1,新西蘭小龍蝦,色澤鮮艷,晶瑩剔透,肉質細嫩,味道鮮甜。 deep fried lamb spare rib 羊肋骨條也比較少吃到,多數也是豬肋骨條,羊肋條經過醃製,炸過香脆,入囗惹味,加上秘製醬汁多一份清新的感覺,不會太油膩,羊肋條比較幼身,肉也相對少,羊羶味不並會太濃厚,所以怕那羶味的也可以放心一試。 scallop linguini truffle risotto 一般的意大利飯也是較為硬身有嚼勁,這家烹煮得比較軟身,我較愛這種質感,入口奶酪感身重,稠密的醬汁黏著飯粒,飯粒煙韌,加上松露的季節開始,用上松露增添香氣,令整道菜更香濃惹味。 French Yellow Chicken 用上香草黑椒醃製再烤焗至金黃色澤,雞皮下的油脂分泌旺盛,雞肉白晢嫩滑,份量不大,四至五個人輕易把雞掃光。 Barramundi 澳洲產的鱸魚可以叫barramundi,鱸魚表皮香脆,魚肉嫩滑鮮甜,配上薯蓉更令帶出另一層次。

Casa Pennington is a spacious restaurant with great service. Seafood dishes are fresh and reasonably priced - highly recommend the buy 1 get 1 free oysters.

是晚好友安排在此餐廳為我慶生辰~ 服務、食物都無得頂 首先 生蠔 買一送一 order左四隻 再送四隻 很鮮甜 蠔湯 - 好鮮蠔味 侍應好細心問我們會否share?佢可以分開上 太好了 原本我只是想飲一兩啖試試😋 頭盤 叫了兩款 1)Hokkaido Scallop & Octopus Carpaccio 帶子很鮮甜 跟生果很配合 2)Deep Fried Lamb Spare Rib 一上檯已經聞到濃濃既羊味 侍應建議我們用手拿住吃 更野味 再配上wasabi醬 回味 主菜 1)Spanish Iberico Pork 7-8成熟 完全入口溶化 好誇張 但真係好好味 粉紅色的肉 完全唔鞋 剛剛好 Pasta 1) Sea Urchin & Crab Meat Linguini 用上我最愛的加拿大海膽 夠Creamy 再配上蟹肉 同 cream sause 剛剛好掛上意粉上 美味 甜品 Black Chocolate Fondant w/Vanilla ice-cream 一向都好愛吃這個 但很多時外面都做到好甜 這個是第一次吃感覺不甜的 讓我這個黑朱古力迷將會列入這間為第一位吧 每道菜逐道菜上 不用放到全檯都係食物 要急全食的感覺 每道菜吃完 也立刻安排換上新的餐碟 準備下道菜 原定限時食到八點半 最終我們都是九點才埋單 沒有催促交檯 開心愉快渡過三小時

We was there last night because of the B1G1 free oyster promotion. Once we sit down, the wait staff was very friendly to offer us drink and introduced the menu to us. Oysters were fresh and delicious, pasta was outstanding! No doubt I will come back here very soon.

Apparently a newish hotel and restaurant of 2 years, but already it looks ready for a renovation They have a 1 for 1 oyster special and we ordered some. Also ordered jamon ham to share Had the sea urchin pasta for the main. Alas the sauce was creamy , which i don't prefer Ordered a bottle of wine, and got corkage waived for our own bottle

Wan Chai / Causeway Bay
Wan Chai and Causeway Bay are the retail centers of Hong Kong Island. Filled with shops, malls and restaurants, both areas are bustling with people – tourists and locals alike. Causeway Bay has one of the highest rents on the planet, and is a bit more polished and modern than its Wan Chai counterpart. Beneath the surface there is more than meets the eye – find boutique stores in the above ground floors of buildings and wander into side streets to find interesting restaurants and shops tucked away from the main roads. Wan Chai especially has experienced a modern revival in recent times, with an influx of trendy restaurants and bars around the Star Street area. In addition, both areas contain many of Hong Kong’s iconic tourist attractions worthy of your visit.
