I had to rank this stay as poor. The hotel was wonderful looking and clean. The room was spacious and comfortable . The reason that the score was so low is that everything in the hotel as far as food goes is reservation (we tried reserving first thing in the morning and anything you could reserve in the resort was full. The hotel has a Tim Hortons.. it was closed by 5 PM, the shops on both wings of the hotel ...closed by 5 PM. The only food options in the hotel itself that didn't require multi day pre reservations was the burger place and the 3 sisters cafe but both had really really long lines. The major restaurants nearby were turning people away by 5 as they had enough names in queue to last until closing at 9. We arrived on a Monday and I will say by Thursday it appeared things were staying open later but the first 3 days had us in a panic on what to do about food. At one point we took our 6 year old daughter to a bar to order pizza as that was the only option other than waiting for hours in line for the 3 sisters cafe in the hotel.

While I understand Covid has caused major staffing issues for hotels and restaurants I feel they could do something more to ensure that their guest can get reservations at the restaurants on site.

Another item of mention would be that due to Covid there is no housekeeping service and all they stock in the room as far as towels go is 3... yes that's three towels. That might work for someone staying a night or 2 but as a family of 3 that prefers to bath once a day at a minimum and often more than that with its 90+ degrees and 80%+ humidity this just wont do. I called housekeeping and requested 6 towels (3 for that night and 3 for the morning just so we would have them when we needed them) I received 3 towels about 4 hours later. This is a minor inconvenience but 100% avoidable as they have many empty cabinets in the bathroom that could easily hold extra when you have the room booked for the week.

I stopped at the front desk one night to ask a very quick question. I went to the employee that was closest to me who was standing there not currently doing anything. It turned out to be a shift manager and she looked at me , watched me ask her a question, and then turned and walked towards her computer and pretended I wasn't there. A different employee behind the desk came over and I repeated the question and was given a proper 3 word answer that I was looking for.

I heard from a friend who was also staying at the hotel that when he asked the manager about the restaurant reservations and that he was told "I don't help with that" and that he had to go reserve it from the hotel room itself. At this point he followed their information, went upstairs, found out that they were full. When he inquired later about when they filled up we were told the day prior. If this is the normal why not just advise him that you have to reserve earlier than the morning of instead of sending him back to the room. This was a waste of time and a point of frustration. I don't care if your a manager you can take the time to either answer someone's question or have an employee assist the guest with the answers.

The rest of the employees were pleasant!

The casino is dingy, time worn and lacks a diversity of table games with reasonable betting minimums. If they serve drinks to players, I was not offered one in 30 minutes of play. I would not go back.

Already paid over $1500 for 3 night booking at this resort and then they charged me an extra $90 upon checkout and said it was an upgrade fee for my room. I paid in full when I booked... shouldn't all the charges have been included in that price? Plus room did not have a microwave and table to sit and eat it in the room only had one chair. So one person had to sit on the couch to eat. This place is a complete rip off.

Have been to Seneca Niagara Casino many, many times and have enjoyed our time there. It was absolutely wonderful during the post-pandemic time as they made the facility totally smoke free. Well, that has changed. They have now closed off about half of the casino area to be a smoking environment. They supposedly upgraded the ventilation system, but you couldn’t prove that by me. It really stinks in there. Plus you have the joy of dealing with disgusting dirty ash trays everywhere, and also the people who don’t bother with them and just leave their ashes all of the machines. Yuck! Unfortunately, some of the machines I have come to enjoy the most over the years, are in that area, and there aren’t the same machines available in the non-smoking section. So you’re forced to either not play those machines or hold your breath while you do. I don’t really mind that they have a smoking section, but they could have closed off a much smaller area. I also feel sorry for the employees who are forced to work in that area. Apparently the casino doesn’t care about the health of their employees, or they wouldn’t have them working in such a harmful environment.

It’s ok but not a lot of video poker/keno choices.
We like 3-5 hand video poker in .5 and .10 cent denominations…..very few choices.
We also, like progressive.25 cent single hand video poker…we saw one bank of that.
They do not have side by side .5 and. .10 cent triple play/five play machines anywhere. So, I couldn’t play anywhere near my husband. We saw no large jackpots being paid out.
On a posted note, it was clean, it was smoke free which was great. However, no one monitoring this because a man was vaping near me….Vaping is not supposed to be allowed either. I did report this, on my way out. The food restaurant choices were limited, only 3 open on the night we went. Three sister’s restaurant was just ok.
I’d go back but felt like I was walking around aimlessly at times looking for machines I like to play. I did hit $200.00 on four card keno .25 per card. I did not see 20 card keno anywhere. (20 card is actually my favorite). Normally, I’m glued to a video poker/keno machine for hours at a time. Here our money went so fast, we were out after 2 hours max.

Hotel and Casino are practicing excellent COVID-19 adherence.

We ate at all three restaurants over the course of 3 days, and each dinner was good, not great but good, the service was slow due to not enough workers, and too many customers. The food was good not great.

The Casino paid out nicely. We left with more than we came there with....so that's always good...….$$$$$

Not sure if its safe area at night be careful!

The size, layout, and decor is very nice...and right NO SMOKING ANYWHERE!!!! Of course, we didn't win any money playing slots and roulette, but the people were nice and we had a good time. Right now they are doing thermal scans on everyone entering the building.

Staff mostly rude, although the front desk attendant was friendly. Majority of restaurants were closed, and we were treated like an annoyance when we did eat there. Food was poor. Our room never got cleaned in 3 days and trash was overflowing. We were out and about from around 10-6 each day. The entire hotel smells heavily of smoke. Would never stay again.

I last wrote a review for this place 8 years ago and gave it 5 stars. Now,after Covid and hospitality shortages I feel bad dropping a star.First and most importantly,it is now smoke free except for a sealed off section that used to be the non smoking.A good job getting rid of the residual odor from years of that.I am a former smoker and still go into the sealed section to vape .Yeah it smells like cigarette smoke but the room is ventilated decently so no clouds hanging around. Our room was great, very clean and stocked as usual.Any employees we dealt with were pleasant and helpful. Can’t comment on the restaurants or amenities as we didn’t use them.
So the reason I’m taking a star off and it’s super picky-as nice as the rooms are there are no usb ports.I mean you can buy a lamp at Walmart with them for 15$ so….
I realize I’m an old boomer but the slot machines are all those huge bright loud things that are like playing a game on a giant phone.Any old school machines I saw were 1$ and up.I realize were in 2023 but still. Finally super picky and not a big deal but draft beer in plastic cups?I get it for the freebies but what used to be a 5$ draft pint in a glass is now a 5$ less than a pint in plastic.I get the shrinkflation but at least a real glass for it?
Anyways overall we enjoy going just throwing a few things out there. We will still go there.

This venue has more than just the casino on site. We enjoyed ice cream with the kids, walking around the shops, coffee and breakfast the next morning, etc. The parents were able to come back for some time in the casino in the evening as well making it a great attraction just steps from our hotel across the street (with a convenient tunnel to get back and forth!)
