Lincoln is not that bad of a school, it’s really an experience. The diversity is unmatched there are so many different people in this school and everyone is pretty welcoming of each other. The academics is good, there are multiple programs that can help you succeed for your future.
I moved down from New York to Abraham Lincoln High School around 3 years ago. I definitely saw a lot of improvements ever since.
Educational it is a great school. There are many certificates you can earn through the school. The only thing that is bad is the behavior of the students.
I used to live in McCook Nebraska and attended their public schools and compared to the school down here in Philly, I would say that the education system is very unfair. I didn't go through the school selection and in order to get into a better High School, I gotta have a specific score on my tests. I would change the fact that the Philly school selection is a lottery because I think that it's unfair to those who scored good on their tests but by chance they didn't get lucky enough to get in their favored High Schools.
The best part of my experience at Lincoln was the amount of AP courses that were being offered at this school. There was also a decent variety of student clubs and extracurriculars that allowed students to get involved. However, I think that there definitely needs to be some change in the school rules to be stricter to get students to behave more. There have been many fights that I've witnessed going on during the school year. Additionally, students should be penalized for skipping the line during lunchtime. Lastly, there needs to be major changes to the dress code in this school. It just doesn't make sense for leggings to not be allowed. In addition, the uniform shouldn't have to be a black collar shirt when it's in the summer as it's simply too suffocating to wear.
I believe Abraham Lincoln is a good school with a lot of activities and good academics but sometimes the kids aren't the nicest. Teachers are very helpful and welcoming to all students and any students of any race or that may speak a different language. We hold cultural events for everyone in the school of different races and are able to welcome their culture so they can feel at home. The school has Honors and Advance Placement classes where students are able to expand their intelligence and challenge themselves to do more or prepare for college. There is a lot of involvement with students clubs and sports the kids have fun and are allowed to feel like they have a home at lincoln high school
Family oriented full support of the staff and all my coaches i have never felt alone or without support
I love Lincoln so much, people give it a bad rep but it really isnt bad at all. I have made so many friends, there are so many opportunities such as honors and AP class programs, you also get to choose some of your classes. The staff are so nice there as well and the kids love them! I am so happy i went to school here!
I like the security that they have. We have to put our backpack in a machine every morning, so they can see what is in our backpack. But, I don’t really like the cutting in front of others manner that some of the students are performing.
The experience was a good one, though I came in the middle of the semester, I was settled in and brought up to speed
Great teachers, sadly at the end of the year the seniors didn’t get the graduation they deserve.but like I said before great teachers before I graduated Ms.rideout had this great office that prepared the seniors/juniors for life after high school
I have been in Abraham Lincoln HS only for 6 months but I can tell that this school is great, even though I have only been in online learning. The teachers and counselors are very supportive.
I thought it was a pretty good school. It gets bad talk because of the occasional fights, but otherwise I think it's good.
Personally, I had a great experience at Lincoln High School. The teachers are great at their job and very friendly and are willing to help. Majority of the students are great and respectful. I have friends from this school that I still to this day hang out with regularly. Some of my best friends and moments came from this school.I have been in Lincoln High School for almost two years now. I love the school. The teachers are always there for you and very understandable. There are so many clubs for anyone to join. I have learned a lot about life and school that will benefit me in the future also the sports. I played varsity basketball for 3 years and it was enjoyable. Its a pretty decent school. Learned things that can help me in the future but not really benefit me. Except for one teacher thats really good at helping for future planning.Lincoln High School has changed drastically in the 4 years I have been here. It went from a school with a notoriously bad reputation to one of the
What I loved about Abraham Lincoln High School were the teachers who cared for their student's education and in general.
Lincoln is a good school overall but i feel like the could make it more safe. I also don't think uniforms is necessary. The food should be better and they should clean the cafeterias better. The class are cool but they should add child development and cooking class to make it more interesting.
I like this school very much. Everything is great about it except the food and safety. The classes and sports/activities are very successful
