Where is this dude? I saw him live last year and he dropped 2 songs a couple of months before the tour. He needs to drop more
He had an issue where his lost all his masters and got denied when him and Biggs tried to pay like $5m to buy them back. Since then I think that situation has soured him on releasing stuff.
Damn how did that happen? I'm assuming it was a label who screwed him?
His label got bought by another label called Concord. Unfortunately that “label” that bought them is basically a private equity group that doesn’t actively run their record label like most do, they just buy up archives, masters, performances, and sit on them for passive income like royalties and licensed use in like commercials. Think of why Michael Jackson bought the Beatles masters or Scooter Braun bought Taylor Swift’s. They’re not gonna fund any new artists recording albums, tours, promotions etc. They invest in record labels purely as financial investments, and their owners are mostly retirement pension funds (again, whose goal is must income streams). Most of their catalog is iconic older music that gets licensed often. You’re not gonna find them developing much new talent or investing in Saint Jhn’s new album, so unfortunately he left and they kept all his masters like “Roses (Remix)” that they will make money from.

Right? I saw him live I think it was 2 years ago. Dope set. He's released singles here and there but not much. Some bangers though like best part of life. He is quite versatile but he needs to drop an album

that roses imanbek remix did more harm than good. His output hasn’t been the same since
ive thought the same, thought that he leaned too heavily into the success of that song even tho it really didnt vibe with his core fanbase.

3 Below is my favorite song of his. I feel like it doesn't get the attention it deserves when people talk about his catalog. Mal played it on the sleepers section on the Joe Budden Podcast back in like 2016 or some shit and I been fucking with Saint Jhn ever since.

I used to listen to his music a lot. It always felt like he was so many steps ahead of the mainstream artists and very much knew it, just didn't get his flowers. For me, he seems to be the type of artist who sticks to his vision no matter what. If that's why he's not dropping new stuff, fair enough and respect.
Blew my mind when that Roses remix came out like, what, 5 years after the original track? He deserves the attention for sure tho. Bro is a great artist

Used to listen to Ghetto Lenny Love Songs and While the World Was Burning religiously, but he hasn’t released anything new in so long while being a smaller artist and his live performance that I saw was so shit. He was on a good trajectory but I guess he’s just lazy and his career isn’t going to be where it could have been
