Doors* – Full Circle

Excellent sound quality on this record, but I also happen to have one in near mint condition. The track Musquito sounds crazy good on this pressing - very close and in-your-room-sounding.

full circle is tragic 😂🤣😂 like a white sly and the family stone(d) Jim must have shat his pants in Amsterdam when he heard it or might have been Oregon ... only got it since it is The Doors but from anyone else it would just fly into the nearest skip .... and would apologize to the skip .... file under Jazz-Funk with special needs vocals and be done with it ... that is the way it grabbed me at first then i started to listen to it more and none of the above need not be changed but it is oddly listenable to altho a real hodge-podge of genres and yes overall a jazz-funk album with bits which remind one of The Doors drums and guitar mostly but yes no masterpiece in fact they never made another one apart from An American Prayer in which they brought Jim back from the beyond and created a great work then; so the equation is The Doors - Jim = not a great deal when all the dust settles ...

This album shows the broad range of the doors! Very underrated imo. A 5 star album!!

"The Piano Bird" might be the funkiest thing they ever recorded. Would have worked just as well as an instrumental IMO. The rest of the album has it's moments.

what a shocking album - just goes to show how important/good Jim was......they just seem competently lost, understandably, without him.

So I just got a copy of Full Circle that was pressed by WEA Musik in Germany, ELK42116 (75038-A) - Also lists on back cover: France: WE 341 and there is also LC 0192 on the label. Runout is WEA 42776-Axx... I think there is too much wording at the bottom of the label to be a 1972 issue, there is a Warner logo, but it has a butterfly label and I can't find any record of anyone else having this. Any ideas>
