All the humanities teachers were very good, Mr. Knox leaving has made me sad among many other teachers. I have noticed a significant decline in administration from 6th grade to now, where I'm a junior. I don't really like the new head of school or some of the teachers but overall my experience has been okay.
I am deeply grateful for the positive and nurturing environment at Bosque School, which has been instrumental in my son's growth during middle school. Ms. Goodmann has fostered a safe and understanding atmosphere that encouraged him to embrace learning without fear. Her kindness and compassion have notably helped him develop a healthier relationship with math. Mr. Minkus has created a classroom environment where my son feels free to express himself and explore new ideas, boosting his confidence and love for learning. The dedicated staff and faculty at Bosque School genuinely care for their students and their development. I can’t recommend Bosque School enough for providing such a supportive educational experience.
Bosque School is a wonderful and inclusive community that provides students with the opportunity to grow as an individual. Students can be a part of communities across disciplines and many honor societies.
Being able to see the Bosque trees from my art room inspired me- as an artist and a wildlife science. What the school lacks in diversity it makes up in trying make sure all students have access to activities and clubs that reflect them. I was more than prepared for college as a critical thinker and holding great work ethic.
Bosque School is truly innovating education and fosters a creative learning environment. Almost every teacher brings incredible energy and thoughtfulness to their craft- great dedication and mutual courage to think outside of the traditional box of delivering learning to students. Staff and leadership listen to students and the community and strive to be responsive to concerns and ways to improve. The community is engaged and devoted to the success of the school, students and the professionals making it happen.
The community here is astounding with so many clubs that it’s difficult to chose from. And the teachers are so insightful into topics and helping us with our college decisions. There’s nothing much I’d change besides traditional school cliques and such, but honestly we all get along and teachers are very willing to help facilitate.
As a involved parent, I was adamant that my son be moved from parochial to private schooling for several important reasons. The immersive style of learning that Bosque provides is key to my son's academic success because it is how he learns best. He does not do well with rote learning styles. The rigidity of the Catholic Church and its unsupportive behavior to single mothers and other community members who don't fit their "norm," is also a big reason I sought out Bosque. Bosque's welcoming and inclusive response to our family is very much appreciated. We feel we have a safe landing place at Bosque, and that is so important to us. I know Bosque is the right fit for my son academically, mentally, physically, and spiritually.
Coming from a public school environment, my child's 6th-grade year has been incomparable. My child is thriving and is consistently receiving unwavering support from every teacher and administrator in the middle school at Bosque School. My entire family is known and valued at this school, and this is, without a doubt, where my child belongs.
We had three kids who attended Bosque, two graduated and attended college. We transferred our last child out before graduation. While their grades at Bosque were competitive, our older kids attended colleges where they both felt the education at Bosque was woefully inadequate. What finally compelled us to pull our last child out of Bosque was the destructive socialization and sexual indoctrination. There are a couple of good teachers there, but apparently they are not interested in bucking the system enough to save the children who are being bullied and enticed into noxious consequences. Lastly, while we kept our complaints to a minimum, the administration is governed by the Board of Trustees. So, unless you are on the Board - good luck.
So easy to work with. Teachers are engaged. My kids love going to school.
this is what I wrote to my kids teacher.
Thank you for the follow up regarding your question. Mary seems to have made the transition to Bosque without much difficulty. She is doing her assignments while she is with me. Good repore with her classmates and took on a few new friends in the process.

My daughter has really enjoyed the beginning of her first year at Bosque. She loves her classes and is making friends. Staff has been incredibly supportive. Everyone seems to want what is best for her and willing to do whatever is needed to meet her needs. We feel very lucky to have her at Bosque.
This is our first private school experience and we haven't regretted our decision once. At Bosque, learning is accomplished how it should be in its highest form: the same subject weaving through multiple classes. For example, in Language Arts the students compiled a poem about themselves while composing a matching drawing in Art class.
My biggest worry was my son's academic performance and managing his homework load. 6 weeks into the school year we have received 2 emails from his teachers about missing or incomplete work already. While there is definitely room to grow, I see him managing his work and taking responsibility and self-initiative for homework better than I expected. I can see that he is motivated to become part of this school and tries to do his best. The teachers' emails are direct but kind. They offer help and take time to support him. The school has a unique program teaching kids about executive functioning skills and strategies, which makes a huge difference.

I have had one child recently graduate from Bosque (having attended from Grades 6-12) and now have a second child beginning in 6th Grade. My first child had a terrific experience and it looks like my second child is about to embark on a similarly positive journey. The 6th Grade team of teachers is absolutely fantastic. Everything they do is intentional and thoughtful-- from how they make up the advisory groups (they wait a few weeks to be sure each child has a friend in the group), to regular homework cafes (it's better to do homework at school so you can ask your teacher for help), to their unique incorporation of the Bosque into the curriculum (BEMP program), to a no cell phone policy. Bosque creates a warm, supportive community that cares deeply for its students, all the while offering a top notch education. I feel lucky that my children get to attend such a fantastic school.
Bosque has been an amazing experience for my son who began his 6th grade year. It's heartwarming for him to come home on a daily basis saying "School was great, mom & dad!" He's especially enjoying the inclusiveness, and connection to the students, teacher, and advisor. We are so pleased to have our son at Bosque.
Our children received a wonderful education at Bosque School. Along with the amazing education, they were allowed many opportunities to explore activities outside the classroom, including sports, science and student government. The combination of education and activities prepared them for college and beyond.
This is my son's third year at the Middle School. We chose Bosque because of the excellent academics, but also because of their "whole" child approach to learning, which fosters intellectual, emotional, and social capacities. We really like the field science "BEMP" program which provides real world data collection experience for the kids. The campus is beautiful and feels very safe since it is tucked away along the river bank surrounded by beautiful cottonwood trees. We are very please with the school overall and plan to stay through High School.
Bosque is the best school, and best kept secret in Albuquerque. When we toured all three schools it was apparent that Bosque is not resting on its laurels, and instead the head of school and her administration have a new energy and excitement that you experience in every element of the school. The grade size and class size are so small that everyone knows everyone and there isn’t room for large divides and drama. The teachers have helped my kids take ownership over their education and get serious about their future, while also shaping them into good people. We’ve always heard the middle school years were the hardest but they have been, by far, some of the best.
Our child has been at Bosque School since 2019 (eighth grade). We homeschooled our child from first grade through seventh grade. There was never a question in our mind that we would send them to any other school in the city. Bosque School is the correct size and has, a wonderful curriculum that fit our child’s intellect very well.
The staffulty is very dedicated to the educational paradigm Bosque embodies.
I have no reservations in recommending Bosque School.

Bosque School has been an amazing place for our family. We have been a part of the community for 9 years and have had many wonderful experiences. The teachers are supportive and administrators make themselves available.
Bosque School was the perfect place for my son who graduated a couple of years ago. His teachers were experienced, inspiring, and loved their students. The location is gorgeous -- in the bosque around the Rio Grande -- and the school gets students out in the woods doing science experiments, observing plants and animals, and appreciating their wild surroundings.
My son was extremely well-prepared for college after graduating from Bosque School. In addition to his academic preparation and his athletic achievements, his experience at Bosque contributed to his social and emotional development so that he was well-equipped to be successful and independent at a major university. I can't say enough good things about this school!
