College Acceptance & Matriculation

College Acceptance & Matriculation

Orange County School of the Arts (OCSA) is dedicated to providing its students with ample support to prepare them for any passion they choose to pursue post graduation. The goal is for students to understand the opportunities available to them, equip them for who they aspire to be in the future, and help them to find their own unique path to success. OCSA graduates advance to a wide variety of colleges, universities, and trade schools to continue their studies both within and beyond the arts.

In 2022, 98% of OCSA’s graduating class was accepted into institutions of higher education and they collectively were offered more than $15 million in scholarships.

More specifically:

  • 82% are attending a four-year college program.
  • 11% are attending a two-year college or conservatory program.
  • 7% are heading directly into the workforce or taking a gap year.

Our student artists apply to and enroll in colleges/universities that reflect their individual interests and strengths. OCSA continues to launch the careers of some of today’s most successful artists, academicians, and entrepreneurs.

College Fair

Each year, OCSA hosts a two-day College Fair on its campus, allowing students in grades 9-12 to meet and network with college representatives from across the country. Students and parents are encouraged to attend and take advantage of the following opportunities:

  • Information booths with representatives from more than 100 colleges and universities

  • Academic-related panel discussions with information on majoring in various subjects

  • Arts breakout panels, workshops, and master classes presented by colleges across the nation

  • Information sessions on financial aid, writing personal statements, placement tests, college basics, and the Cal State/UC application process

If you are a college representative who would like to participate in OCSA's College Fair, please email Becca Freeland at becca.freeland@ocsarts.net.
