Sheriff Berringer is the sheriff of Augsburg, Germany.
During the events of Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters (2013) played by Peter Stormare
Sheriff Berringer and his Deputies are threatening to kill Mina for being a witch when he is stopped by Gretel and Hansel. He sends out Tracker William, Tracker Jonathan, Mute Tracker and Gamekeeper to find the lost children of Augsburg. After the attack on Augsburg by Muriel and Red Haired Witch, Sheriff Berringer blames Hansel and Gretel along with Mayor Engleman for what happened and then shoots Mayor Engleman dead. He and his Deputies ambush Gretel and after assaulting her, Sheriff Berringer attempts to rape her. He and his Deputies are then killed by Edward, who stomps on Sheriff Berringer's head.
