I have lived in Falls Church my entire life and love it. It's close to DC and many local designations. I think it needs more affordable housing to increase diversity!
The Falls Church area has its ups and downs. On one hand, the area that I reside in is mostly a family-friendly neighborhood with parks, roundabouts, pet areas, and the occasional ice cream truck passing the corner. On the other hand, many crimes occur around our neighborhood, such as theft, breaking and entering, and sexual and physical assault. Police and law enforcement are limited, so crime is a usual occurrence. One other benefit of the Falls Church area is the amount of Immigration lawyers around for asylum, citizenship, and green cards. I can speak from experience as I am currently working at a law office. It has been a great experience, and we have helped a lot of people.
Having spent most of my life in Falls Church, I can confidently affirm its appeal as a wonderful place to call home. It offers a serene environment, blending safety, convenience, and vibrant cultural experiences.
Falls Church is renowned for its safety, providing residents with a secure environment. The community's commitment to safety fosters peace of mind for all.
Moreover, Falls Church boasts diverse dining options and recreational activities catering to various interests. From international cuisine to local delicacies, residents can enjoy a wide range of culinary experiences. Additionally, abundant recreational facilities like parks and community events ensure there's always something to do for people of all ages.
Another standout feature is its proximity to Washington, D.C., just a 20-minute drive away. This offers access to iconic landmarks, museums, nightlife, and cultural events, enhancing the overall living experience in Falls Church.

There are several religious organizations who engage in antiracism and other social justice work. The Falls Church Social Justice Committee is an interfaith organization that participates in and organizes events like the annual MLK Day march. The street I lived on housed mostly white people; there were at least four families of some or all people of color on a street of 20 houses over a 20 year period, with several families moving in and out. This street included at least two households with Christian members and one with Jewish members, at least two multilingual households, and at least one immigrant to the US (he lived alone). Overall I was not very close to my neighbors growing up and cannot give positive demographic information about most of the families on the street.
I loved the memories I had growing up. It's pretty walkable and has lots of shops and places to dine.
I grew up in Falls Church Virginia and I have nothing but pleasant things to say. My grandmother lived in Falls Church and my mother being a single mother, moved us all to my grandma's house and we were raised very well. We got to go to Tyson's Corner Mall and there was a corner store up the street from our neighborhood where we got to spend time with out elders and even get some candy out of the store.
I enjoy living in Falls Church because it allows me the ability to experience the urban, city life in D.C. and Arlington, but also enjoy a less hectic and slowed pace of suburban life. Also, it is located near many schools, groceries, and communities.
It is safe and quite; a place you would want to start a family. Many places are accessible, including but not limited to: the airport, D.C, major highways, etc.
We live in Skyline Condominium where there are high rise building living.
Very quite and very large units 1200 sq + and secure parking
Fourth of July is amazing view from the Penthouse Roof and available to rent for private events.

I will admit, Falls Church is a nice place to live in. All the stores you need are right down the road, many safe places, and we are neighbors to cities that have many businesses within them. However, I will say that at certain times and places, Falls Church can be a dangerous area. There are many roads that have crosswalks but not light for cars. Many accidents happen in the area as well. Not to mention that the lighting is terrible. If you walk at night, you are going to want to walk with a light vest on or with another person.
I moved a few months ago and have found the people to be friendly and welcoming. While it is not the preferred place for commuting, everything is accessible to commute where needed.
Easily commuting to everywhere and without stress with affordable transportation fares.

It’s a really quaint place to be. You’re very close to DC. You’re also not that far from Tyson’s corner. You have the best of both worlds. It’s a suberb in between to urban areas which is really great.
Falls Church is a great neighborhood to raise a family there. Everything is close by, the farthest driving distance to get to a destination would be 10 minutes. The public schools in this area have not been the best previously, however they are getting better as the years go by. There are many opportunities for extracurriculars in Falls Church.
Great little city outside Washington D.C.. The Falls Church downtown has some very cute little coffee shops and there is a great walking path.
Falls church is a wonderful place to live. The school's are great and it's a very safe environment. I would recommended for people to live here.
Very homey town that is very close knit. Close to DC and Old Town and other big places while still feeling homey.
