American basketball star Rashard Lewis has had a storied career over the years. Playing for various teams in the NBA for almost two decades, he won the NBA title once and is 2-time NBA All-Star. But, Rashard was able to achieve this much success only due to the support of his lovely wife Giovanni Fortes, who took care of things behind the scenes.
Rashard married Giovanni in 2011 and they had initially met way back in 2001 at a college in Seattle where Giovanni was studying. He was playing for the Seattle Supersonics at that time and the rest they say is history, as the two are bound for eternity now.
The couple has now been married for 7 years now and they have been blessed with three children. The couple has two daughters, Grayson and Gianna. They followed it up with a son named Rashard Jr., completing their sweet family. Having a family with life and kids didn’t affect the later part of Rashard’s career as Giovanni took care of the kids, completely supporting her husband’s career.
Rashard and Giovanni’s Marriage 10 Years in the Making
Rashard and Giovanni got married in 2011. The couple, despite dating for a long time after meeting each other, went their separate ways in 2007 thanks to Rashard moving to Orlando Magic in the NBA. After breaking up, Rashard dated the likes of Rihanna and Brooke Bailey but none of these relationships lasted too long.
Thankfully, the two eventually got together after Rashard’s break up with Brooke and the two got engaged in Rashard’s home in Houston, Texas. The two got married on August 13, 2011, in a California Resort. The entire ceremony was wonderful as the two were bound for eternity in front of 250 guests who attended the wedding.
Giovanni Takes Care of the Kids
Rashard and Giovanni’s marriage has been very fruitful indeed as the couple has given birth to three children: two daughters and a son. Their daughters’ names are Grayson and Gianna whereas their son is known as Rashard Jr. Giovanni is the one who takes care of the kids as Rashard was initially focused on his career.
