Parker, Teresa

Teresa Parker is an interdisciplinary scholar who focuses on the vernacular traditions and cultural history of the American South. Prior to her doctoral studies, she served as Deputy Director of Tulane's Newcomb Art Museum and Cultural Programs Manager for the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival. Her writing has appeared in UNC-Chapel Hill’s Southern Cultures journal; the Encyclopedia of Southern Culture; the Louisiana Endowment for the Humanities’ Bicentennial History of Art in Louisiana; and numerous museum exhibition catalogues.

Spira-Cohen, Ezra

Ezra completed his PhD in Political Science at Tulane University and his MA in Sociology at Rio de Janeiro Pontifical Catholic University in Brazil. His dissertation focused on land tenure and state development in Brazil. Ezra's research interests include the political economy of information, land reform, and housing. His teaching spans the sub-fields of Comparative Politics and Political Economy of Development, and his regional specialization is Latin America.

Salvaggio, Marko

Marko Salvaggio is a Visiting Assistant Professor in the Department of Sociology at Tulane University. His research explores social dilemmas related to climate change, as well as the sociocultural implications of ecotourism development.

Rotzer, Simon

My name is Simon Rotzer, and I earned my PhD in Political Science from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Currently, I am a Visiting Assistant Professor in the Department of Political Science at Tulane University. My research is focused on Civil-Military Relations. In particular, I want to understand how the government, the public, and the military talk to and about each other and what consequences these conversations have for society, the state, and international security.

Levy, Rachel

Rachel is an active lighting designer with a passion for telling stories through light and for lighting inhabited spaces in a way that supports her fundamental belief that design reinvigorates neighborhoods, empowers and generates public activity, stimulates financial growth, and most importantly, strengthens Community. Her professional work ranges from designing and assisting on theatrical productions, live television shows and Apple Studio films, as well as, designing the lighting for large architectural interiors and exteriors.

Pearson, Benjamin

Benjamin Pearson's research focuses on media industries, policy, and globalization. He's especially interested in how European funding and policy impacts media industries in the Global South. Ben earned his PhD in Media and Communication at the University of Michigan and previously competed an MA at Dartmouth in Comparative Literature and a dual-MA in European Union studies at the University of Groningen in the Netherlands and Deusto University in Spain. He's originally from Southern California. 

Park, Hyun

My name is Hyun Park. My research fields is macroeconomics, monetary economics, time series, and monetary aggregation. I studied these fields at the University of Kansas. I'm from South Korea, and I'm married. My wife is in Indiana for her work. She is pregnant and we will meet our baby on January.
