Visited from 22/06/23: An absolute must see when in Vegas! The world famous Fountains of Bellagio are one of the worlds best free water shows. With ample of viewing locations all around the lagoon, its worth watching several times from different angles with different shows throughout the day. Also a very different feel at nighttime when the lights of Vegas shine bright. At peak times its advised to get a key spot well ahead of the show time. Head to the Bellagio website to find show times as they can vary.

Purchase your pass online in advance of your visit. Try to time your arrival with a ranger stroll at the visitor center and you will get a good overview of the area. There are many places to park along the scenic loop with multiple hiking options.

Celebrate Grandson's 21st Birthday. Enjoyed Las Vegas and celebrated with the family. The family enjoyed all the entertainment which was available to us.

We visited Hoover Dam through Gray Line Bus Tours on a Thursday morning in May 2024.  Our tour guide, Michael, was the best, with non-stop jokes about Las Vegas, current events, and the tour we were about to embark on.  Michael was informative about what we were seeing as we passed by each stop, with exciting tips and facts along the way.  He made sure that each person was given photo opportunities at each stop and that we were greeted back to the bus with a warm smile and a cold drink (water.)  We thoroughly enjoyed our trip and would highly recommend this tour to anyone interested in seeing the man-made wonders of the US.

We went early evening on a Friday, just as the sun was setting. It wasn't extremely crowded, and the view is amazing. We got to watch the Bellagio fountain show from up top, and someone proposed (she said YES). My teenage kids wanted to go back down as soon as we got up there, but I'm glad they did it. We purchased our tickets ahead, from Vegas.com and saved a few bucks.

The famous "Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas" sign is actually a long way from the centre of the strip by foot. The best way to get there is probably by car (like most places in the US!). However, we decided to walk from Mandalay Bay which took about 15mins in the hot sunshine. Once there its pretty underwhelming. Its not a big as you may think! It is also very much a tourist trap, with the likes of 'Elvis' trying to get money for photos. At peak times it can also get very busy with coach trips and lines building. I had visited Vegas many times before and never got to visit the sign, but I realised that I wasn’t missing very much! Its worth a visit if you are passing anyway, but don’t bother making a special journey for it. It is after all, just a metal sign.

A must visit museum where you can play on some of the pinball machines. We took a taxi to the Welcome to Vegas sign, then walked down the road via the Harley Davison to the Pinball Hall of Fame. If you are a pinball fan prepare to spend a good couple of hours (or more) here.

Visited: 22/06/23 The Mirage Volcano is a nightly eruption of fire and water founatins to an intense soundtrack. The show is located on the Strip at The Mirage hotel and casino. It features synchronized flames, cascading waterfalls, and rhythmic music, creating a visually and audibly impressive spectacle.

Each show typically occures every hour from 7:00 pm to 11:00 pm with each performance lasting approximately five minutes. This is definitely one of the best free shows on the Las Vegas strip! Get there early to get a good spot.

Though be quick as the new owners of The Mirage, Hard Rock Hotels, may remove be the volcano in the near future. The Mirage Volcano is a unique and free experience unique to Vegas. It offers a brief but impressive display that is great for visitors of all ages!

In less than 1 hour from the strip, you can be in 8000 ft elevation playing in the snow. This is worth the drive just to get away to nature. There is a nice loop that is probably about 30 minutes through the mountains.

It is big, it is clean and it is airconditioned which is really nice in the hot city of Las Vegas. There are many stores here that carry the brands you all know and it is big, really big with multiple floors of shops and plenty of places to sit and drink something.

I don’t know why this isn’t listed as a top activity in Las Vegas. It is very well run, the staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and all seem to really enjoy being there. The grounds are absolutely beautiful. I learned so much while having a great time. Fabulous for kids as they learn through fun activities as well. If you are a local I definitely recommend the memberships as they are very reasonable. I recommend a hat and sunscreen.
