Try to time your arrival with a ranger stroll at the visitor center and you will get a good overview of the area. There is not much in the way of facilities around so make sure you pack water and snacks before you head there. - Christine C58 contributionsWe went early evening on a Friday, just as the sun was setting. It wasn't extremely crowded, and the view is amazing. We got to watch the Bellagio fountain show from up top, and someone proposed (she said YES). My teenage kids wanted to go back down as soon as we got up there, but I'm glad they did it. We took a taxi to the Welcome to Vegas sign, then walked down the road via the Harley Davison to the Pinball Hall of Fame. Great show, good dramatic eruption with lots of fire and water spraying up. This is worth the drive just to get away to nature. - Companion124229203101 contributionI don’t know why this isn’t listed as a top activity in Las Vegas. It is very well run, the staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and all seem to really enjoy being there. The grounds are absolutely beautiful. I learned so much while having a great time. Fabulous for kids as they learn through fun activities as well. If you are a local I definitely recommend the memberships as they are very reasonable. My husdand has been waiting for this tour for 4 years, and this year, he was able to share the experience with his oldest grandson who just graduated high school and has been a dan since he came into our lives!
