At 3 a.m. on Saturday morning, August 29, 1970, the Who took the stage in front of some half-million people at the Isle of Wight and rocked every single one of them.

This complete concert recording marks the only legal recording of the original Who performing the "complete" Tommy song cycle live; it also contains songs ( Water; I Don't Even Know Myself ) they never released on album, not to mention a seven-minute-plus version of My Generation ! A 20-page booklet containing notes and 30 previously unpublished photos lies inside.
