Can someone tell me if this pressing was sourced with the original analog audio, or is this a digital transfer?

Check your labels. Mine came with two B side labels.

I’m a huge Kyuss fan, but neglected this for too long. The new songs are awesome and the whole album is a great experience for if you just want a Kyuss medley.

The mastering for the old songs sound the same/similar (to me) to the recent reissues. So, if you dislike those, the songs don’t sound different here

I love the flow of this album. It’s like experiencing Kyuss in a new way. I hope they make some more Kyuss mixes like this on vinyl!

Top sound press , clean sound, every detail is perceived, to have in your collection.

This pressing rocks sound-wise — deep bass and punchy percussion. I think a lot of my packaging gripes have to do with it not being produced in collaboration with the band. I’m assuming the rights to the photo on the original back cover of this release belongs to one of the band members or the original photographer, which is why they simply chose to mirror the cover image. I wish they would have sought band approval and maybe gotten some pictures for thick cardstock inners or a gatefold packaging.

Beautiful blue vinyl mine is No.# 004905 but I don't see anywhere in the description just how many were actually pressed... Regardless it sounds better and looks cooler than my remastered Elektra 7559-62571-1

I wish the other albums were also released on double vinyl in this quality, superb!

Ok so I’m gonna bring some specific context to my review here. I have previously made a review for the original black pressing of this record. Here it is. This is all for the sake of comparison:

                      https://www.discogs.com/release/487572-Kyuss-Muchas-Gracias-The-Best-Of

“”It always sort of annoys me when there aren't any reviews/comments on pages so I thought that I might as well do one since there's only so much that the 'Statistics' section can tell you.

The Kyuss best of is a strange beast to say the least. You've got a few fan favourites, rarely discussed B-Sides, some great live cuts and then everything else. I don't think that it represents Kyuss at their best. It's missing some spectacular cuts from their discography Iike 'Green Machine' and 'Supa Scoopa And Mighty Scoop' for example. It definitely gives you a good dosage but I think that it will take a while for it to come into full effect. ;) You've got some odd choices here but surprisingly enough there's a great flow to this compilation.

As for the vinyl themselves, they've done a good job spreading the songs across the 4 sides. The guitar and drums sound great across most tracks, however in some of the songs the vocals sound to quiet and the bass on occasion feels very muddy in the mix and not quite as punchy as it should be.

Overall I think that big Kyuss fans have more of a chance of getting something out of this then beginner's do. Definitely not the place to start for new listeners in my opinion.

                      Overall:7 out of 10.””

Review of the official Blue Repress:
Going from the original pressing, there are similarities and differences. In terms of the similarities, same track listing, same cover, same centre label’s. In term’s of the difference’s, an official coloured pressing and a new mastering.

                      Positive’s:
-I love the new colour used here, it looks great.
-I think that compared to the original pressing, an improvement in the overall sound of the record has been made, especially in the studio cuts. The original always sounded quite muddy to me, this I think has a bit more clarity and detail. More distinction between instruments that give’s you the space that you’re looking for on a Kyuss record.

                      Negative’s:
-Could be seen by those familiar to the reissue as very similar. Not many differences between the cover and no extras. It’s certainly faithful though.

Overall:More quality for a much cheaper price. Doesn’t seem to be that limited though as I’ve seen a tone of copies on sell in lots of different places.

                      Rating: 8 out of 10.
