I travelled from London to Cambridge on Great Northern late Friday evening without changing trains - departure 21:44, arrival 22:35. The train was on time, clean and not very busy. Therefore, travelling was very comfortable even without wifi, which either didn't exist or I couldn't find. I didn't see any train staff and my ticket was only checked when I left the station in Cambridge. Off-peak tickets are available at off-peak times, and I used one of these. The price was perfectly acceptable for this very fast connection (there are also trains that take longer).
