AWESOME CAMP!! Daughter was a first time camper, could not have been better! Exceedingly well run, amazing activities, KIND and capable counselors! Terrific, classic, sleepaway camp experience. They built her confidence and gave a true sense of community. WE LOVE THIS CAMP!!

My son has been going to this camp for four years. The first time I took him, he didn't want to go, but I made him. He loved it and couldn't wait to go back the next summer. They have great activities, and amazing counselors. The owners, Scott and Melissa, are just wonderful. The camp makes sure that all kids feel supported and included. I really can't say enough positive things about this camp--it's really special and if you're looking for an all purpose, non-specialized camp where your child will have a great time, look no further. Hilltop is it!

This camp is not a camp to me anymore it is my home!!! Right when I walked into camp my first year I knew I would be back for many more summers! This was my 3rd year and I love it! The staff are amazing and remember campers from year to year! The friends you make will be your friends forever!! I love this camp!!!

Camp Hilltop is the best summer camp ever!!!! I wait all year for camp. You can be yourself, try new things, ride horses, and best of all see your camp friends! Spirit days, holidays, campfires, silly camp songs, and intensives make this camp the best place to be.

OMG I have been going to camp Hilltop for 6 years and I love it!!! My favorite part of the year is getting to see my favorite place on earth during the summer..... Hilltop!! HillTop is my second hole and i can't imagine life without it!! DEFINITLY recommend it!!

Camp Hilltop used to be a place where kid could just be kids. My daughter started going here when she was 9, stayed at this camp until age 19 as a staff member. My daughter was fired at the six week mark for what they claimed to be a complaint. The older Youngs had such a different way of working with the camp. When she grew up here the staff was genuine, now I find more and more that the staff hired is two-faced and isn't respectful to the older campers. Camp is about fun and learning, not about completion. Hilltop used to uphold these values, but I'm afraid they are more concerned about revenue these days. I'm sorry to have such bad memories associated with something my daughter loved so much.

I found this camp without any help from my parents and it was the best thing I could have done. Going to Hilltop I made friends I know will last forever, and after stuggling with some personal issues at home, I overcame them at camp where my confidence, skills and knowledge about the world increased incredibly. I became a CIT for four weeks and got a new perspective on the camp experience and loved it all the same. I would like to think I made a difference in the campers lives, because they sure made a difference in mine. I love Camp Hilltop, there is NOTHING about it I would change.

I went here last year and cant wait till next year. this will be my 5 year here. the activities are extremely fun and keep you active. personally i love dance and arts. i promise you that there is something for everyone. i made friends so easily and their for life. i am closer to them than my school friends because your living with them. you get to see how they really are. if you can you should definitely come here!!!

This was my daughter's first time at camp. We were chose Camp Hilltop based on reveiws from this site. We were very pleased with her experience. The day we picked her up she declared it was the best 2 weeks of her life. She and many of her previous cabin mates are returning next summer. It's a safe place with lots of great kids, mostly from NYC. The counselors were a mix. Some were great, some weren't so much. There were plenty of activities my daughter tried. Overall, I think it's a great value.

I have been there for 3 years, and I love it SO much. My camp friends and I are incredibly close and we see each other all year long and some of them are closer to me than my school friends. However, certain members of the staff can be kind of annoying sometimes. Some counselors are awesome, though, and the owners are great. The food is decent, and some of the cabins are nice but they are fixing all of them up by next year. The activities are amazing. I can't wait until next year, and I check the website every day to see adjustments made to the website and how many days we have left (even though I already know and just check to make sure :))

I have been to many camps before and this one was on a completely different level. The staff are amazing and understand every camper and treat us like we are their sibling. The activities are mostly fun. The cabins are pretty nice even though you are barely in them. The food is decent and there are always other options if you don't like a meal in particular. Your cabin is more then your best friends, they are like your family. It is the best camp ever!

My son has been going to Hilltop for 5 years and absolutely loves it! They have great activities, food is good, cabins are clean, staff is excellent. Scott and Ann truly love these kids as their own. Camps do not get much better than Hilltop!

I went to hilltop for 2 weeks. Not the best time in my life. The kinds were all amazing and sweet. But the facilities suck. The people who teach activities have no idea what there doing. Its safe but not a good place to learn, The food was no very appealing. It was not a bad place just nothing great. I do have to say ann young is very helpful and nice t though.

I think there is probably better camp choices out there for the money. My sons went here last year. One had a great time while one wanted to go home on day two. The elder Youngs seem to be more genuinely concerned with the campers while the Youngs children, who now run the camp seem to be more concerned with their Alpaca farm first and camp second. Children who did not like what was served for lunch were not allowed to make a pb & j for lunch, only at dinner time. While there is br's in each cabin, they were dirty and not well maintained. Long waits for the one boat to waterski. They advertise go-karts when there is actually only one go-kart and long waits to use it. Also the ONE Atv at camp could only hold young children. No beach at the lake. Pool mainly used for younger children. Barn for horses in poor shape. Beautiful new barn for the Alpacas. Camp is on a hillside so there is a lot of walking up and down hill.

I love this sleep away camp soo much!! I made friends on the first day! It is run by a family so it feels like home. The counselors were so nice! I did stuff there I would've never done any other time. It was an amazing experience. You should totally go there. I made some amazing friends there and I just looove it soo much. It does not deserve a bad rating at all. This was probably the best sleepaway camp I have seen!

ABSOLUTLEY LOVED IT! it has always been the hilight of my year, ever since i was 10!! Although the facilities might not be so nice and the rules are a tad strict, It does not matter. I Absolutly love this camp more than any other place in the world. The councilers are the nicest people i have ever met. The campers are always nice and its just an amazing place.

I stayed 6 weeks at Hilltop and it was the BEST! There were so many people I remembered from the years before and ones I just met. Hilltop is like a home away from home to me and my counselors were spectacular! I love when they come back (which many of them do) and when I meet new ones I have just as much from. The trips and activities are always from and I don't feel like I'm forced to do it or completely care free for it. They have lots of stuff to do and there's new activities every year. The friends I've made at Camp Hilltop are endless. The inside jokes and hilarious moments go on and on. When I'm in school I can always look back to my camp memories for good stories to write or just to get lost in a daydream. Summer isn't the same without camp. With camp I feel like I can be completely different then the way I am in school, since not a lot of people from my school go there. The international campers are really cool, too. Camp Hilltops the #1 camp in my opinion :-).

I have gone to hilltiop for 6 years now. it has become my home away from home. the councilers are some of the most amazing people i have ever met. the campers there are some of the kindest nicest most fun people out there. I cant expalin to you how much hilltop means to me

My kids have been going here for about 8 years now--My youngest won't go anywhere else and waits eagerly for each summer, knowing he'll have a fantastic summer!He's made great friends, learned new sports and grown up here!!AS a veteran camper myself (40 years ago)I wish I'd gone to a camp like this!

i went to Hilltop for 6 weeks and it was a roller coaster. Some of the people were really nice and cool but some of the people were to cliquey. the food is decent. I LOVE THE STAFF!!! The care about all o the campers individualy. The directors are so caring and really want to make Hilltop a safe and fun place for fun campers. my opinion, Ann young made my summer. she helped me when i was homesick and through all the tough times. the activities are somewhat fun, but sometimes the staff can be unprofessional. this is because the director assigns counslors to activites. the evening activities are soooo fun!!! theres a dance, a t.v. gameshow, camplified, rondugan, ect. They even have a spirit week. otherwise, I had a blast!

Okay, so nobody listen to the other review! I went to Camp Hilltop and had the best summer of my life! Everyone (staff and counselors) are AMAZING! The food isn't amazing but it's not gross. After only a couple of hours there you feel at home! It's the BEST PLACE IN THE WORLD!

THIS CAMP IS SO BAD DONT GO HERE all the staff are nice, like take BC he has been there forever and has helped me through all my lifes issues and the buildings are okay and the food is decent but all the people here are really mean and think they are better than everyone but in reality they go to a doodie camp and are stupid.

worked there for a few years, absolutely LOVED the campers and the staff (made some of my best friends there) but am increasingly disgusted with the camps owners. they stifle creativity and personality. they want cookie cutter staff members that are boring...makes for boring activities, etc. also, the program is inconsistently run. each day there is an entirely new schedule drafted, so continuity is nonexsistant. a waterskiing class that runs 3 days is rarely ever taught by the same counselors. makes it difficult to know what skills the children have already accomplished. same is true for all other activities, waterskiing was just an example.

This camp is absolutely fantastic, the staff and CIT's are loads of fun and it really is "A heap of friends, a mountain of fun." No joke. It is a fantastic environment to gain self-confidence and make friends for life. Many activities, and supersafe.
