I always want to try new places in Little Italy but always find myself (and family) back at Chipperellis! The food is always delicious. You must get the Chip's salad! I got.the penne a vodka and it was the best I've ever had! Love the atmosphere which celebrates the restaurants storied history in Little Italy and one of the few originals left. Service was solid and it was a little lightly attended for a Friday at lunch. Love this place!

Excellent service, huge portions, really good food. Not a large place but comfortable. A bit pricey but you definitely will not leave hungry.

Five of us went for a mid-week lunch. Being an Italian family, we know good Italian food and felt that this food was excellent. The two ravioli dishes on the lunch menu were OMG-delicious, as was the Penne Bolognese. Two other pasta dishes, the appetizers, and the bread were outstanding.
The prices are very reasonable, and even though they were down one server that day, the service was great.

I have now eaten at this restaurant twice in approx 12 months. Once I was with a large group of 20+ for business, without reservations. Recently I was here with my family.
To start off, this is a great building/space with an enjoyable simple atmosphere. The staff is incredible and their flexibility and willingness to accommodate is the best. The food is good, everything you want, but it is not top-notch.
Food: The bread is bland but there is oil and parm on the table to make it great. The salad that comes with most (maybe all) meals is basic but delicious (iceberg, but I love iceberg). The marinara is very simple, not BIG flavor, but I appreciate it as it is. The protein dish I selected was fine but not great. The food isn't fancy or exceptional, but it is enjoyable.
Service: Great. The O's game got rained out and my biz group of 20+ showed up here without reservations. They pulled together 6+ tables and accommodated us on the fly.
I was here recently with my family and they were equally as flexible and accommodating for our "off the menu" requests (for the kids).
Great place. I wish I lived closer. Highly recommend.

When you go to an Italian restaurant, your bread should be...good. This bread was very basic and laughable. Salads were drowned in oil to the point you cannot eat the whole thing. Two rotten tomatoes on the top as well. Ingredients aren't fresh. This place is bad.

Service and food were okay. While everyone performed their job, there was no warmth or personality in the host or server. Portions were a good size but all three dishes were on the bland side (Penne with meat sauce, penne vodka with chicken, tortellini Alfredo). Alcoholic drinks were good. Cheese cake and cannoli dessert were also just okay. We will try someplace else next time we are in town.

Surprised the wife for Valentine's Day. Took her to this wonderfully iconic Little Italy eatery. Superb service as always. Extremely attentive. Food - never better. Same fantastic quality. Freshly-made everything, from salad to pasta. The Chip Salad is still a wonderful way to start the meal. I ordered the whole wheat penne pesto with grilled chicken. Phenomenal. My wife ordered the seafood ravioli. "The only thing in this ravioli is seafood. Literally every bite of it had perfectly cooked seafood in it." My wife was thrilled to have ordered it. Delicious all around. We will continue to visit this legendary Baltimore Little Italy cornerstone of supreme Italian cuisine. I highly recommend it, whether visiting Charm City or if you call Baltimore home.

This is a reasonably-priced, reasonably good, kinda old school Italian restaurant. The service was excellent (although the greeter was personality-free). Waiter and bus person were both attentive and unobtrusive.
The food was enjoyed by all. The portions are more than ample. A large, simple but tasty salad comes with meal. The arancine were quite good, although not really Sicilian (no peas). The eggplant parmigiana and sauce were average. I have certainly had better. But my son and his roommates loved it, so all-in-all a fine, fun evening.
I wish TA allowed 1/2 stars, because my rating is really 3.5.

Just the best dinner we’ve had … perfect atmosphere, great service . Manicotti was my wife’s favorite and she was not disappointed… veal parmigiana is my go to and it was one of the best I’ve had. Wish we had saved room for dessert

We loved this place for the reservations and the kids menu (necessary for our family of 6). All the entrees were delicious, and we felt welcome there. The bathroom was clean, and the waitress attentive. We would happily return!

The bread was very ordinary, at best. My husband & I usually gobble down bread, but neither of us had more than a bite or two. The salads had nice dressing and a generous amount of parmesan, but all over blah iceberg lettuce.
My husband got the calamari fra diavolo. He compared the calamari to pieces of old tire - chewy, tough, and little flavor. And he said the sauce never saw a hint of red pepper - and this after we told the waitperson that he loves fra diavolo with a lot of spice to it!
My seafood ravioli was the one winner in our meal. Both the ravioli itself and the sauce were quite tasty. It's a shame my husband's calamari wasn't as tasty as this seafood mix. The sauce was good enough that I would have mopped it up with bread, if the bread weren't so mediocre.
This place was highly recommended and we have to think the people recommending it are not at all discerning about Italian food. This place wouldn't survive a season in Boston's NOrth End!

Stop looking for an Italian restaurant in Baltimore, you have found it! This restaurant has excellent food and serves large portions. Be sure to go hungry! We first ordered the Arancine ball which is a fried Risotto ball with marinara. Easily the best I’ve had. We then ordered our dinner which comes with a very large salad. The salad dressing is made fresh and was excellent. We then ordered the Linguini and Clams and the Veal Saltimbocca. Both were fantastic. The Saltimbocca came with a side of fresh made pasta. What a huge difference to have fresh pasta. It is a noticeable difference. Unfortunately we were so full that we had to skip dessert. Ida was our server who was very friendly and attentive. We enjoyed it so much we’re talking about going their for dinner again tomorrow. This restaurant is a must when in Baltimore.

Good value with friendly staff, linen tablecloths and napkins, a fairly priced wine list and lots of nice choices for lunch or dinner. i had the chicken Vincenzo and it was outstanding. Chip's salad is a nice addition, but filling.
