Kayne Prime is wonderful and made even more fabulous by our waiter, David. He was extremely concerned about food allergies and went above and beyond to accommodate us New Year's Eve. The food was absolutely delicious - best I've had in a long time. To...close the evening we enjoyed the opera cake for dessert - very yummy.More

If you are in Nashville, this is a must. Food and service were excellent, our server David only added to the great experience, we had great conversations with him and he was very knowledgeable about Bourbon as well, We ordered the Cotton Candy pork belly...and Buttered Popcorn Lobster, both lived up to the hype. My wife and I both ordered steaks that were cooked to perfection. We would come back the next time we are visiting NashvilleMore

Kayne took their covid procedures very seriously but still provided a fine dining experience with no disruptions. Our server Dakota and his assistant Dan were friendly yet very inobstrustive during our dining experience. We were never rushed or pressured throughout our meal which I appreciate....The food and drinks were good, although nothing really stood out. My only complaint is after receiving the check at the end of the meal I was not reminded of the 20%service charge added on, which I'm assuming is not their normal procedure. Although it is stated on the check, a nice touch at a restaurant such as this would be to make your guest aware, either during booking the reservation or at the end of the meal. Completely my fault for not reading the fine print. Our server received an addition 25% on top.More

First, I want to say that the service is perfect. Waitstaff is attentive and host/hostess were great and friendly. We ordered the bacon appetizer with cotton candy on top. It tasted like a sugary pork chop. Not my taste. The popcorn lobster was good but...better when you took the popcorn off. I had the Springer Chicken. It was a baked chicken leg and breast with wing. It had a glaze type gravy on the side. It was just ok but nothing special. My husband liked his ribeye. We ordered the corn brulee side and it actually came with a hard baked sugar top like creme brulee. I thought it was too sweet and kind of gross. The potato gratin was very good. When we got the bill there were $35 in service fees on it due to Covid. This was NOT a TIP. It was explained that these fees are pooled by the owners then used to pay employees a living wage. It does not go directly to the waiter. Last I checked, Kayne is not a non-profit organization. Profits should pay salaries. It's the cost of doing business. So, a $177 check for 2 people turned into $177 + $35 service fee + $45 tip = $257. Just giving a heads up. I haven't see this at any other restaurants.More

Six of us dined here for a friend’s bday and were very disappointed after all the hype. Two of our steaks had to be sent back because they weren’t cooked properly (and one was burnt), the sides were just ok - Brussels and potato gratin...not fully cooked so veggies were hard. The drink list is great and they have a very extensive wine list but really disappointing to go to a high end steak house that can’t cook a steak. Wait staff was very attentive and helpful with the mistakes but I expect a $50 steak to be cooked to perfection.More

Pretty restaurant but seemed like it was trying too hard. Heard so many great things about it so maybe we’d set the bar too high but it sort of didn’t live up to the hype. The bacon was overly peppered as was my Wagyu. The...corn and broccoli were both just too fussy with flavors that didn’t need to be there. Our waitress, Rachel, was lovely and wonderful, though.More

Don’t waste your money. Plenty of other local places with way better food and reasonably priced . My husband and I went there for our anniversary dinner. Let me just say they are way way way overpriced for their food. We ordered 2 appetizers only...for the waiter to come and say they were all out. We then chose different options only for the original appetizers that we were told they were out of to come out along with the other apps we ordered . The popcorn lobster was cold with stale popcorn on it, the cotton candy bacon was fat with cotton candy on top, No meat!!Their oysters were great but way overpriced at 5.50 per oyster. Back home I can get a dozen for less than $12 . The Caesar salads were good but one salad is enough for two people . The steak was salty and not worth the money. My husband makes better steaks at home. We were given a specials menu that had a sampler on there were you could try different variety for a set price . The waiter mentioned it was an old specials menu and didn’t know why it was given to us but failed to tell us the steak sampler was $300. Which wasn’t the price on the specials menu .. We paid $25 per 2 ounces of salty beef. The waiter took it upon himself to give us thicker cuts of beef because they were out of one of the steaks varieties on the sampler plate. Then he charged us an extra $100 for the thicker slice . Had we known we would have told him to take it back. Not all it’s hyped up to be. DisappointedMore

6:30pm reservation...showed up right on schedule and seated immediately. Attentive service, crisp wedge salad, fluffy pop-over biscuts, perfectly cooked 24oz bone-in Rib Eye, savory brussel sprouts, and sweet, tender creamed corn. Everything was absolutely delicious. Highly recommended. A must do.

Some friends and I were in town for a get together and we made reservations at 8. We were seated promptly and given water. The hostess came back a few minutes later to take our drink order. We all had some alcoholic beverages and were...enjoying each other’s company. We noticed some of the other tables were receiving bread, so when our actual waitress arrived we asked to have some bread. She at that time took our order for appetizers. We ordered Oysters and tow orders of the Tuna. It took quite awhile for our appetizers to arrive. When it did she took our main course order. Most if not all ordered the Waygu Filet. We also added pepperoni mushrooms, scalloped potatoes, and creamed spinach. The appetizers were absolutely delicious and they went fast. Especially when you have 7 guys drinking and having beverages. The main course didn’t arrive until 10:30. To me, I think that’s way too long, but they did make sure to check on us with additional bread (which was moist and warm), water, and alcohol. No one had anything left on their plate. My Waygu could have been cut with a butter knife. It was cooked perfectly (medium rare) and tasted great. Overall the staff, meal, and atmosphere was terrific. I would have given 5 stars but I just think it took too long. When we got the check we immediately paid but at that time it was 11:15pm. I would highly recommend this place if you are looking for a fine meal and a place to spend a good amount of time.More

Went to Kayne and had high hopes. Was looking forward to a great meal out visiting a city that was not in complete covid shut down. Drinks were spot on, bread great. We ordered some appetizers, interesting take on some. The popcorn lobster was tasty...but didn't want to fill up on popcorn itself prior to a tomahawk steak. Duck tacos super tasty. Kale salad was refreshing. All started off great. My husband and I ordered the 32oz tomahawk, medium, pink throughout. The steak was completely rare, red, fatty and pretty much tasteless. Was disappointed in the steak for sure. Desserts were a bit lack-luster. Some at the table ordered, not a lot of variety. Was surprised there was no creme brulee or chocolate cake. Service was good and staff friendly.More

Went for a dinner on thursday with my partner around 7. Was asked for a reservation, they had no availability but did get a chance to seat at the full bar although restaurant was mid full and was never capacity full throught our 2 1/2...hours. Anyways, bartender was great, and all very attentive. The wine list was ok but very overpriced (4x on wines). Menu was pretty nice and varied. First dish: couliflour was not as expectes, it was mostly a fine chopped salad with some couliflour. Second dish: cotton candy bacon. Sounds oretty good, it is creative and tasty, overly sweet, not a killer dish but a cool diah to brag about. Third dish: bone in filet, with creme broule cream corn. First the meat...quality is amazing and for the price it is worth it. Tender, juicy, flavoufull and well cooked. Great job on meat. Creme broule corn...same as cotton candy; it is good, not great, overly sweet, would not order it again but i will brag about creativity and uniqueness. Would i go again? not really, overall was nice but not my standar/style/taste for $200+ dinner.More

Dinner with 4 other couples for my best friend's 50th birthday. I've eaten at a lot of good steak houses over the years. For ME, it was just a tick above average because of the service. First, I will say they have a very nice...atmosphere, decor and top notch service, which I would expect at these prices. The wait staff was friendly, engaging and provided good information about menu selections. The upside of the meal was the candied bacon appetizer with cotton candy on top. Very different and a really nice combo together. My Wife and I both had the 6oz filet (mine was the Wagyu) and the mac & cheese side with charred broccoli. The mac and cheese was good as was the broccoli which had a nice flavor. The filet was brought on a plate, by itself with nothing else. No garnish, didn't look seasoned at all...nothing...Just a piece of meat that looked overcooked (ordered medium). It offered not much in the way of flavor. While it was tender (it should be, it's Wagyu) it just left much to be desired for being a top tier Steakhouse in Nashville. I was honestly disappointed in the steak as I was expecting more for my taste buds and maybe should have went with Ribeye or strip? I felt a little let down at $200 for dinner but we had great company and as mentioned the service was what you'd expect, so there's that. If I am being completely honest, I will look for another steakhouse to try and don't know that I would go back to Kayne when I'm in Nashville again.More

We live here in Nashville downtown and have been to a majority of all the best steak houses here in town, this one will be at the bottom of the list. I do not write reviews often, but this experience was so far below expectation,...I felt compelled to share. While the steaks were good as expected (correct temperatures, seasoned well), the rest of the meal was wanting, food came out horrifically slow, sides were cold/undercooked and the experience was overall forgettable. The atmosphere was ok and they did have some unique options, but poor overall service and food presentation seemed to cast a shadow over the benefits of the restaurant. You have a lot of great options here in Nashville, I would pass on this one, poor value for the price, poor customer service execution, and a host of much better options close by.More

I can't recommend this place enough! We came for a 1st diner there last week and had such a great experience that we couldn't resist repeating a couple of days after! The staff is nice, trying to accomodate requirements you may have, and ensures you...are having a great moment. As for the food, you can't leave this place without trying the lobster and the scallops, both close to perfection! Steaks are excellent and perfectly cooked, I would advise enhancing those with the truffle bearnaise sauce which is amazing. The only thing is that all this comes with a cost, the bill will likely go up quickly, however I believe it's worth it!More

We had the opportunity to dine at this restaurant for dinner this past Thursday night. The service and food were outstanding. I had the filet which was perfectly prepared. The sides were also excellent. We started the meal with the homemade bacon and maple cotton...candy as well as the ahi tuna. Hope to go back there again!More
