The Babes are back - with a new limited coloured double-vinyl compilation release!
As a heavy Babes In Toyland / Kat Bjelland collector i was glad to add this to my collection.
Some might ask, why another compilation Best-of after "The Best of BIT & Kat Bjelland" and "Intermenstral", not even with some additional bonus material this time or even new material after their 2015 reunion?
Well, the answer is the phenomenal remastering and pressing of this vinyls making this an enjoyable listening experience. I listened to hundreds of hours to the Babes songs on various formats and after all those songs now sound even kinda new to me, discovering bits and pieces i never noticed on the original releases, e.g. Right Now, Handsome and Gretel. Kat's pronounciation and whispering in songs is far better recognizable and her voice is present, the mix is balanced, the sound is powerful and vivid.
Hopefully, there will be some new stuff of the Babes soon or some more live gigs. Every new "Katastrophy Wife" material is welcome, too!
Meanwhile, listen to this fabulous, timeless piece of music!
