Great school, teaching me life lessons and allowing me to connect with my friends and teachers well on a daily basis. Great environment. Cool
The school has passion that is reflected within the majority of its students and staff. Most kids don’t tend to like school but besides academics, we love attending for the environment as well. Being able to walk the halls that you’ll quickly find to be provided a security of comfort is a privelage. Genuinely I think there’s at least one staff member that every kid has a trusted bond with. It is because of the effort of these staff that allow us to learn and grow so exponentially, I can’t say we don’t owe it all to them.
Warde is a community, and the teachers and administrative staff really do want for you to succeed. You do have to self advocate to get the most out of what is offered. They do not “spoon feed” you. Best experiences were meeting my great friends, the teachers and interactive learning. Worst experiences was not making the baseball team and missing out for four years. I was diagnosed with narcolepsy and cataplexy this year, so now my extreme tiredness makes sense. Before I was diagnosed I couldn’t understand why I needed naps and would fall asleep, miss my alarm and miss try outs or tests. The school has been amazing with the support I’ve gotten since being diagnosed. I only wish I had know sooner.
When I went to Fairfield Warde, I could have used some support from a guidance counselor but I went through two because one left and the second one wasn’t helpful at all. She was nice but she offered little advice on college plans. Plus they need a social worker if they don’t have one - not just college counselors - especially for minority students. Teachers had no education on the lives of minority students. They had no idea what they go home to everyday, and to go to obtain an education from these ignorant white teachers was a miserable experience. They would say they’re always available after class and yet they’d give a cold shoulder when you really need help. They really seemed to want certain students to fail. For some people in America, school is a safe haven for young people with difficult home lives but no one in Fairfield would ever suspect that a kid needs help. Instead they just let those students struggle and treat them like dirt. They only support the rich.
My experience at Fairfield Warde Highschool has been mostly positive. I wouldn't know much about the STEM classes but I have taken many art classes and have found none of them to be particularly disappointing.
Overall, Fairfield Warde High School is a great high school with good teachers, valuable education, and exciting opportunities. The music program is exceptional with fun experiences, the majority of teachers engage and show that they genuinely care about their students, and the classes challenge students and help us grow.
I really enjoyed my time at Warde. I made great friends and felt accepted. It’s a fun school ! The teachers are a mix of great ones and just okay.
I have had a great four years at Fairfield Warde High School. Throughout my time as a Warde student, I have enjoyed vibrant camaraderie with my classmates, with whom I have shared many wonderful memories in and out of the classroom. The faculty and administration care about our learning and growth, and they put an emphasis on supplementing work with fun. Warde students have had the option to enjoy class trips as far as Disney World, but remain very motivated, and work hard for important classes and standardized tests. The educational capacity at Warde is hard to surpass, as the school has almost every AP class and the teachers are excellent at teaching difficult material. Through all of the ins-and-outs of my high school experience, Warde has prepared me very well for college, while giving me four years I will look back on.
I really enjoyed my time at Warde. Good teachers and support systems throughout the entire school. I think most people that attend Warde enjoy it.
Fairfield Warde is a pretty good school. The best thing about Warde is the wide range of academic studies and extracurricular activities. I never would have realized I was interested in woodwork or photography if I wasn't provided with the opportunity to explore them. The worst part of Warde is the lack of diversity. While I'm seeing an increase of students of color, it hurts that the majority of my classmates and teachers look nothing like me. If it wasn't for me socializing outside of class I wouldn't have many connections with other Black students. Something I'd like to see change is the trust between the students and the school. We've got a lot of new rules this year that are a lot more restrictive than my previous years. I hope to see the underclassmen display more maturity so the staff can extend more trust to the rest of us.
Warde has a good range of elective choices and lots of classes with different levels of difficulty. Teachers can be hit or miss, but the good ones are approachable and reasonable. Guidance and student mental health support is stretched to thin, and there aren’t enough resources to help students who need it. I wish there was more diversity in the teacher staff to represent the student body and overall more school spirit. The best thing that Warde does for it’s students is definitely senior experience!!!
I really enjoyed Fairfield Warde High school from the academics to the community based school all of it really spoke to me in such profound ways.
I went to Fairfield Warde High School prior to the split; it was called Fairfield High School. It was okay experience.
Warde provides a lot of resources for college preparation, the teachers on the most part are excellent with the exception of a select few.
Very good school, organized, clean and has professionals willing to help students and their future. A bit bumpy for first-generation students but they at least tried their best to accomodate these international students.
I love my school. Yeah they're is problems with it but they're is problems with any school. The administration is the best I have ever had. Most of my teachers want to see my succeed and that is what I love. The building is a little dated but so are most schools where I live
Fairfield Warde High School is a school in the suburban town of fairfield and its a normal high school. Kids are rude to each other and unwelcoming. Some are welcoming
