I live in the area and this by far is the absolute worst restaurant. Today was my last visit. Everything that could go wrong routinely does. The food is subpar, even when they don't get the order wrong (which almost never happens). The interior n exterior are more often than not quite dirty despite the fact it's nearly empty of customers on a regular basis. Nobody is assigned to do any lot & lobby pickup (what it was called when I worked in another location during my highschool years). The service is the worst I've seen anywhere & I've seen some that were truly bad. The staff is routinely shifted from there to the cobourg location (same francisee operates both) and always both rude & lazy. They are simply too careless to get the order right or even listen to what customers want. I've experienced this on nearly every visit, order wrong, they refuse to correct it. Today was the last straw, I simply got a drink & the cashier put the wrong item on the order, refused to correct it 3 times then refused to give my my change back, fortunately it was little change but that's still theft. Needless to say I won't be going back despite having to go well out of my way to go elsewhere. NOTE: my ratings for food, service & value are all 1's only because the website doesn't allow a 0, otherwise that's what the rating would've been.

went through the drive through yesterday, ordered a 1/4 pounder with cheese, fries and a bottle of water. When I finally got to the window I was told they had no water, they would give me tap water instead. I declined the water, paid for the burger and fries and moved to the pickup window to wait for 8 minutes. When I left I opened the bag the fries were cold and the 1/4 pounder with cheese morphed into a cold chicken sandwich. Thanks for not only wasting my money, but my 1/2 hour lunch as well.

The last time I was at this location, the wait times was long, and the employees appeared to not want to be there. When you can hear the workers talk about useless information, and it slows your order process down, it shows BAD customer service in my opinion. Being a fan of coffee, I find their prices too steep for the amount of coffee you get. As I take mine black, I was not offered anything to keep my hands from burning from the heat radiating out of the cup. My fries are cold and the burger looks to have been slapped together. I was too hungry to care at the time so I ate it. Haven't been back since. I ordered a jr chicken with no lettuce, and got a jr chicken WITH lettuce. Maybe more training is needed to help the employees listen better to what a customer wants is in order.

The Port Hope McDonalds is the slowest McDonalds I have ever been in. Our family occasionally eats at the restaurant and everyone has a story about poor service.

Recently I waited 12 minutes behind someone in the drive thru and when I arrived at the window my meal was sitting there - bag open - the burger and fries were cold. Last night we went into the restaurant to speed things up and despite less than half a dozen people milling about (waiting for their food) our late dinner took nearly 15 minutes and once again was cold!

The food was good and the time of wait was acceptable.
Did not like that they ask for your name to give you your order.
The lines to order and the lines to wait for your food were not assigned...so people are just standing everywhere.....waiting for food ?? or waiting to place order ???

They should organize that a bit better.
