<p>Charles Augustus Manson, Jr., fondly known as “Tuck”, of Salisbury, MO, went to his eternal home Thursday, November 16th, 2023 surrounded by his immediate family at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia, MO at the age of 73.</p><p>The Lord blessed the home of Charles A. Manson, Sr. and Eileen Norine (Biere) with the gift of a son on December 14, 1949 in Carrollton, MO. He was united in marriage to Carolyn McCurry, his beloved wife of forty seven years on September 3rd, 1976, at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Brunswick, MO.</p><p>Tuck attended St. Boniface Catholic School and graduated from Keytesville High School in 1967. He enjoyed playing baseball, basketball and participating in FFA. He then attended University of Missouri - Columbia graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Husbandry. He then returned home to Dalton joining his father on the family farm.</p><p>Tuck enjoyed nature and beautiful scenery. His favorite place on earth was his pecan orchard the Dalton bottoms. He spent countless hours of his retirement years nurturing and growing pecan trees, manicuring the landscape surrounding his orchard. Tuck had a one of a kind work ethic. He took great satisfaction in a job well done.</p><p>Tuck was a faithful man who loved the Lord and his family and friends. Tuck was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church and St. Joseph Catholic Church. He was a member of the St. Boniface Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed gardening, landscaping, fishing, hunting, and especially the annual hog butcher making smoked sausage. He also loved a good ping pong match.</p><p>He is survived by his wife Carolyn of the home and his four children, Eric of Fort Worth, TX, Cynthia “Cyndi” (Paul May) of Meridianville, AL, Lynda “Lyndi” (Michael Kinate) of Bloomington, IL; and Ryan (Tennille) of Salisbury, MO. Loving grandfather to Wyatt, Eric, Paige, Nolan, Caroline, George, Patrick, Leah, Alex and Charlie.</p><p>Tuck was preceded in death by his father and adored mother.</p><p>A Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, November 21, 2023, at 10 am at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Brunswick, MO. Interment will follow in the St. Boniface Cemetery in Brunswick. Visitation will be Monday evening from 4 to 7 p.m. at Summerville Funeral Home in Salisbury, MO, with a prayer service starting at 3:30 pm. The Rosary will be prayed following the visitation at 7 pm.</p><p><br></p>
