I think this is the earliest non-piano instrument soloist feature album I've heard and it was pretty good. Fantastic 'boning but I always feel trombone is a little limited by the nature of the slide, Ory has great technical ability regardless, and a great melodic ear. He fits comfortably with several bands of various sizes and instrumentals through this compilation which does a good job of showing off his style and importance.
