When Catalina de Lancaster was born on 6 June 1372, in Hertford, Hertfordshire, England, her father, John of Gaunt 1st Duke of Lancaster, was 32 and her mother, Infanta Constanza de Castilla, was 17. She married Rey Enrique III de Castilla on 17 September 1388, in Palencia, Castilla y León, Spain. They were the parents of at least 1 son and 2 daughters. She died on 2 June 1418, in Valladolid, Valladolid, Castilla y León, Spain, at the age of 45, and was buried in Toledo, Castilla-La Mancha, Spain.
