Like the vibe of the Royal. Relaxed, everyone is open and friendly. Meals were mostly great, but our potatoes that came with Duck Confit were a little overcooked ( too crunchy) .

We were disappointed after our arrival when we realized that the dining room had a much more casual and much noisier atmosphere than we were expecting in such a chi chi hotel. The food was excellent & of a higher calibre than one would expect in such a casual room. Also, the wine prices are too high. We might return & try the patio but not the dining room.

The wait staff were wonderful and the food was good. However, we arrived on time, were seated, then sat and watched as other customers arrived, received drinks and had their orders taken, before anyone had even come to our table. It was an hour and 20 minutes before our food arrived. We have been before, and enjoyed it, but we will not be going back. A really disappointing experience, and far too expensive for such poor management.

Sat outside under the heaters and closeable roof, and it was delightful. Our server and the rest of the staff were expert and hospitable. Get the bread - fabulous. Appetizers of kale salad and whitefish mousse delicious, as was the papardelle pasta (with pulled lamb) and steak tartare. It was a really wonderful evening!

Come here fir the hanger steak. Always cooked to perfection. Would like a bit more of a selection on the wine by the glass.
