- Laura B33 contributionsThis was an amazing experience. We wanted to have an "easy" trip to see waterfalls and this was beyond our expectations. We chose to ride the safari truck and it was awesome! The safari truck was surprisingly comfortable and had a great view from every seat. Our guide was knowledgeable and fun. The suspended bridges offered breathtaking views, the waterfalls were magnificent and swimming at the base of a waterfall was a dream come true! As an added bonus, they provided a delicious breakfast before and lunch after. The pros: everything else!
- fed baby goats
- held a 3 day old lamb
- played with curly hair chicken
- met Arnold the muscular show off turkey
- was swept by an albino peacock
- enjoyed refreshing tea from the plants and herbs grown on the property.
- learned about the origins of the farm and its incredible cause helping the community around them.
The best: the jungle and beach horse back tour (1h40m).

- they stopped to take pictures whenever I wanted.

It was a great place to rest, unplug, and enjoy the natural surroundings before heading to San Jose. For those who haven't experienced mountain roads, the drive up is fun, we had 4x4. I wouldn't arrive at night!!!
Great trails on private property.
A true ranch experience, beautiful property "bunk house/cottage like accomodations"
Wifi is weak, but okay, no AC but fans kept us cool. Owner on-site, very friendly, as was staff.

The horses were all well behaved. We took the trip to the Fortuna waterfall. A mixed trek across fields through wooded trails as well along the road. Then e try to the waterfall with lunch after in the waterfall restaurant. Then back to the stables following the same route.
Alberto was an excellent host and guide
Others were also on this trek new to horses who also greatly enjoyed this.

Great communication during the booking process. The horses were rode were calm and not phased or skittish. I'm not an expert by any means, but the horses seemed well cared for.
We did the 1 hour morning ride. Our guide Gustavo was amazing. Me and my partner are complete beginners and Andrey was super nice and explained everything really well.
The horses are also well trained and super friendly. The landscape was so beautiful, the beach was amazing and we saw a few monkeys on our break.
If you like horses, definitely a recommendation, because they really are part of the family, live freely on the large grounds in a herd and are treated with respect and love.

The views are incredible of the volcano and waterfall. We did the 12 canopy tour. The horses were well trained and seemed to be well taken care of. - Audrey K1 contributionWe had the most amazing experience on our sunset beach ride! Elsa and her team are very friendly and accommodating. The horses are beautiful and very well trained. We felt very comfortable the whole time and really got to enjoy the sunset. They also took a lot of photos and videos for us to keep for memories. I chose Martin's tour based on his excellent reviews here and it did not disappoint. Martin was very friendly and you can see how much he cares for the horses. It was my boyfriend's first time riding a horse and he ended up loving the experience. Martin's guides you through the forest and some incredible mountain views right before sunset. We cannot imagine visiting the country without at least a few days at this beautiful place. This is Costa Rican hospitality at its very best from the lovely rooms and great food to the wonderful riding. The horses never disappoint, and it’s due to the careful, compassionate training they have received and the daily care they receive. Kay and Esteban’s attention to every little detail always ensures that our stay is comfortable and fun. - TerranceTampa, FL106 contributionsOne of the top three excursions we have ever done in our many adventures and it might actually take the 1st place overall. I've only ever rode a pony at a fair, but today I felt like John Wayne today. So did my wife and our kids. This was totally surreal day of over the river and through the woods on legit, capable horses. Both the steeds and the Vaqueros were awesome. Our kids, 12, 14, 18 will never forget get this day, ever. Our oldest son, he might actually be a natural cowboy after this first time on a horse. Don Tobias, their guides and beautiful horses, we 100% recommend for families, friend groups, etc. All ages. Our experience was awesome, the guides were so hospitable, their english was perfect and our family learned so much on this adventure about nature and being a real Vaquero.
