Park Directory
The City provides a total of 550 acres of park land at 23 different locations for the enjoyment of our residents!
All park facilities in Woodstock are owned by the City and maintained by the Public Works Department, with all recreational activity scheduling handled by the Recreation Department. We hope that you take the time to use the wide variety of parks and recreational facilities the City offers.

Pavilion Reservations
Picnic Shelter / Pavilions at Emricson Park are able to reserved by the public, click here to learn more. All other picnic shelters are first come, first served.
Recreation Paths
The City provides a 1.6 mile long paved path in Emricson Park, a 3/4 mile long paved path at Merryman Fields Park, and a 3/4 mile paved path at McConnell Road Park for the enjoyment of our residents. Walking is an excellent form of exercise, and the paved paths located in the park setting are also a great way to relax and enjoy the out of doors. And please remember to pick up litter after any canine friends that may be accompanying you!
Alcohol Prohibited
Unless approval for a special liquor license has been granted by the City Council, the possession or consumption of alcohol is prohibited in all City parks.
Animals in Parks
All dogs or animals in any City park must be controlled by the owner at all times. No dog or animal shall be permitted at any time, even when controlled by a leash, within any playground area of any park, within any fenced-in ball field or tennis court, or within any other areas of the park where signs have been posted prohibiting animals. No dogs or animals are allowed in the Park in the Square or Davis Road Park at any time unless part of a permitted special event.
The person accompanying the dog or animal shall immediately clean up and remove any feces or waste product left by their dog.
These restrictions do not apply to dogs or animals providing assistance to any person with a disability.
Parking Regulations
In order to keep our parks looking nice and to help protect the safety of our park patrons, vehicle access and parking in all City parks is limited only to paved roads and paved parking areas. Parking is prohibited on the grass and anywhere other than paved surfaces in all City parks. Parking is prohibited in all City parks after the stated park hours.
Snowmobiles
Operation of snowmobiles in any City park is prohibited.
Woodstock residents do not belong to a separate park district and, therefore, do not pay any extra property tax to a district.
