What happened in Vanderpump Rules Season 7?

The season kicked off with a proposal: Jax Taylor popped the question, and Brittany Cartwright said yes.

We dealt with a lot of death in the beginning of the season—Jax opened up about his father's death, Lisa talked about her brother's suicide and Lala Kent broke down about her dad's death.

As some of her longtime employees moved on, Lisa found herself taking a new group of wild servers under her wing. One of whom Scheana Shay took a liking to. She and Adam Spott became "best friends"...with benefits, which blew up in her face on the finale when he told her he didn't love her. That was the end of that.

James Kennedy continued to treat his colleagues like crap and got fired from SUR. But he was still on the show. Lala even tried to fix their friendship, to no avail. James started now in therapy and drinking...less. Oh and Lala is sober now. And in other weird friendships, Kristen Doute and Ariana Madix got closer.

We met Stassi Schroeder's new boo, Beau Clark, which gave the show a boost of charm and normalcy we never knew it needed.

The focus of the finale was the fairy-themed engagement party for Brittany and Jax, who have been together for three years. While members of Brittany's family aren't completely on board, and they have no problem voicing their concerns, the couple has their friends' support. Even Lisa's.

What will happen in VanderpumpRules season 8 and are there any spoilers?

Well, most of the cast members have new, identical houses.

"A lot of really strong dynamics of how things change and how they've grown up. You see them advancing,"  Lisa, who serves as executive producer of the show, told Us Weekly. "One step forward, two steps back. It's a great season, as always it's gonna be a long season because there's a lot of content and complicated dynamics."

Season 8 finds Lisa working at a fevered pitch, after the successful debut of TomTom, her new restaurant with partners Tom Sandoval and Tom Schwartz.  She will be working with a new group of SURvers, because many of her longtime employees have left SUR for other endeavors.

Many friendships are put to the test in the new season. Tom Sandoval agrees to be Jax's best man and he plans a joint bachelor-bachelorette trip to Miami, but Jax pushes their friendship to the limits, asking a bit too much of Tom (who we all know requires an extreme amount of attention on his own).

Brittany spends the season focused on throwing her fairytale wedding, unsurprisingly.

Stassi is now a bestselling author, and her relationship with Beau is moving forward. The one thing that isn't working for her is her friendship with Kristen Doute. She and Katie Maloney-Schwartz feel Kristen is lying to them about her relationship with her on-again off-again boyfriend Carter. Is this the end the Witches of WeHo?

A major scandal has Ariana questioning her friendships.

James continues partying and stirring up trouble, but his girlfriend Raquel Leviss issues him an ultimatum that "forces James to confront his demons or risk losing it all," according to Bravo.

Lala is focusing on her sobriety, music career and an elaborate home renovation before she moves in with the her fiancé. James comes to her for help, and she has to decide whether or not to let him back in.

Scheana is still at SUR, and has eyes for SUR’s hottest new servers, Brett Caprioni and Charli Burnett. "But when new waitress Dayna Kathan hooks up with TomTom’s general manager Max Boyens--who also happens to be Scheana’s ex-love interest--Scheana quickly adds her to her hit list," according to Bravo.

Will we see Jax and Brittany's wedding in season 8?

It seems so! "After watching Brittany and Jax get engaged and celebrate with a huge party, viewers will finally see these two get married on the show," Oprah Magazine reports. The couple got married at the Kentucky Castle in her home state June 29, and the planning will be a highlight of the new season. Lance Bass officiated the extremely romantic ceremony. With the exception of Raquel and James, the entire cast supported the couple for the momentous occasion. Among the other celebrity guests were Summer House alums Stephen McGee and Lauren Wirkus, and Southern Charm's Shep Rose.

Will we see Beau propose to Stassi in season 8?

Yes! Beau popped the question to Stassi July 31 at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery, and the moment was caught on Bravo cameras. "Season 8 will also include the moment that Beau Clark asked Stassi Schroeder to marry him," Bravo reported in October.

What's the latest Vanderpump Rules news?

Lots of the main cast members have new homes. Couples Jax and Brittany, Tom Sandoval and Ariana, and Tom Schwartz and Katie left apartment life behind and purchased homes in 2019. Kristen and Scheana also have a new homebases this season.

Lala and James reunited in a music studio in June and recorded a song. They also announced they were friends again on Instagram. Because, that's what friends do..."Glad to have my friend back," James wrote in a since deleted post.

Oh and Jax went on a blocking spree, blocking Kristen, Ariana and Sandoval on Instagram this summer. He eventually unblocked Kirsten in September. There's a good chance he blocked you, too.

Who is in the Vanderpump Rules cast  for season 8?

Favorites including Lisa Vanderpump and her current and former SURvers Ariana, Brittany, Jax, James, Katie, Kristen, Lala, Scheana, Stassi, Tom Sandoval and Tom Schwartz are all still the main cast members. Beau is also officially a cast member this season.

A new set of faces join the cast this season including new staff members Brett Caprioni, Charli Burnett, Danica Dow, Dayna Kathan and Max Boyens.

One cast member not returning is SUR hostess Billie Lee. She quit the restaurant and the show in July 2019, citing in a lengthy blog post that she was bullied by one of her unnamed coworkers. "The bullying on and off camera brought my deep insecurities to the surface, this dark black mirror held up high for everyone in public to see and to judge," she wrote. "Like any other time I've been bullied or rejected I start journaling, and I attached myself to anything and everything positive that would pull me out of this dark funk"
