KSTP reporter to leave news station after 2 years - Bring Me The News Skip to main content

KSTP news reporter Ginna Roe has announced she is leaving the station after two years.

Roe said on Facebook she is leaving to focus more on her family, and is taking a new job in United Healthcare's newsroom. She joined the KSTP team in 2021.

The reporter grew up in the Twin Cities and said she accomplished her dream by working as a journalist in her home state.

"As heartbroken as I am to say goodbye to this chapter of my life, I leave knowing I made my dream come true. It has always been my dream to report here in the Twin Cities, in my hometown. I did that. And I am forever proud to have reached that goal," Roe wrote.

Prior to KSTP, Roe worked at WXOW News 19 in La Crosse, Wisconsin; WBIR-TV in Knoxville, Tennessee; and KUTV 2News/KMYU in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Roe said she will be prioritizing her mental health and taking some time "to be just Ginna for a while."

Her last day is Thursday, March 16.
