As Monica Rambeau and Binary were in the hospital wing of the X-Mansion, Beast walked in and informed Rambeau that she fell through a tear between space time before ending up in another universe. Beast left to go speak with Charles Xavier, leaving Rambeau and Binary alone again.[2]

- In the comics, Dr. Hank McCoy is a mutant who, due to testing an experimental solution on himself, possesses animalistic physical characteristics. He is also a genius-level intellect specializing in biochemistry and genetics and a political activist fighting against society's discrimination against mutants. He served as a member of the X-Men, Avengers and the Defenders.

- Hank McCoy/Beast in the Marvel Cinematic Universe is played by Kelsey Grammer, who portrayed a version of the character in the 20th Century Fox productions X-Men: The Last Stand and X-Men: Days of Future Past.
- According to Mary Livanos, Kelsey Grammer reprised his role as Beast because Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige personally called him and asked him to do it; Grammer readily agreed due to their past collaboration in X-Men: The Last Stand, which Feige was an executive producer on.[3]
