Tony O’Malley starts the 5k Series Season in style
The 2024 5k series season is well underway around the province – at Roscommon and Swinford currently, and Galway got going on Tuesday evening last at Abbeyknockmoy. And of course the start of the 2024 Mayo AC five race 5k Series is now less than three weeks away – registration link attached.
Tony O’Malley was our lone finisher at Abbeyknockmoy – a great series opener by our regular racer. Tony ran a cracking time 18:14, crossing the line in 17th place.
That’s his fastest 5k since January 2020 when he ran his 17.28 pb. Even more impressive since he’s now running with reconditioned propellers!
