Great and very nice, cheerful service of the entire hotel from the reception to the cleaning ladies, clean and large swimming pools, delicious food, which was never missing even at the end of meals.

A very communicative and caring restaurant manager.

Waiters working very quickly with their work so that no one had to wait for anything.

Despite the number of guests, there were no queues - neither for tables nor for food.
We are very pleased with this hotel.

The sea right next to the hotel, one of the bars located on the beach.

What was an absolute hit for us were the olive trees, which gave a lot of shade in the hotel area, so we didn't have to "fight" for a place in the shade.
Our daughter had fun in the pools, on the slides and in the sea, we rested.

Animations conducted only in German. Most of the guests are German.

This hotel has everything what you need. There are 2 swimming pools and beach which belogngs to the hotel. Hotel is really nice but in quiet location. Rooms are cleaned every day. Food is very good, pizza was amazing! This is family hotel so you can expect a lot of kids however, there is separate swimming pool for them.

There is no way this is a 4 star Hotel … Rooms are awfull beds are uncomftable all single beds … food is not great its eadable but not tasty and not authentic greek food ! Fruits are a complete diabolical joke ! Offering famalies single piece of orange ! Apple ! And pears if your lucky and even banana’s was cut into 3 pieces ! NO WATERMELON ! NO PEACHES ! NO STRAWBERRYS 🤦‍♂️ to be in greece a mediteranian hotel with no decent fruits . And the drinks they offer taste like sewage 🥹 its not even a joke . Staff are pleasent . Pools are decent ‘ weather is nice apart from that i honestly do not recomend any famalies to book here as its disheartened me and my family only thing keeping me going is my kids enjoying the pool and weather ! So for the money i highly recomend turkey !

We spent an amazing week. 3 different generations and everybody found something for themselves. The hotel is clean, green, spacious, full of life, the food is delicious and variable. The staff is extremly friendly and prepared, always kind and smiling. A special thanks go to Giannis 😉 Hopefully will Come back.

We just finished a two week stay at the Alex Beach and we can not even imagine a better experience. We traveled as a family of two adults and two children ages 7 and 3.

Location: The hotel is located in the small village of Theologos. It is about a 10-15 minute cab ride from the airport soutwest of Rhodes Town. Since the hotel is so close the airport, you do get some noise from aircraft taking off and landing. However, the noise did not bother me or my family. As for nightlife in Theologos, I didn't really notice anything going on. There are a couple of stores next to the hotel that sell the assorted things that tourists tend to buy while on vacation (post cards, memorabilia, etc.) along with some grocery type items. We bought several bottles of water for day trips at the store next door (40 Euro cents for a 1/2 litre).

Chech-In: We arrived at 11 in the morning and went straight to our room. We did arrive just before the high season started (Kids last day of school was 13 June) and the hotel was not yet at capicity.

Room: We had read that there are several types of rooms ranging from a standard double room and family room with a seperate sleeping room in the main hotel to bungalows. We stayed in a small bungalow with one bed and one fold out couch that could sleep two. Our room was very clean and meet all of our needs. Our Bungalow was midway between the main hotel and the beach in a great location next to the kids pool.

Food: Breakfast, lunch and dinner buffets. Always something good to find and the staff was incredibly polite and hard working. Mr. Takis, the head waiter, was always helpful and went out of his way everyday to be helpful. Also, eat at least one dinner at the beach. The food is good and you can't beat the view. Finally, my kids thought that the availability of ice cream all day was a pretty sweet deal.

Bar: A good selection of drinks included in the all inclusive plan. The beer is pretty good and the wine wasn't too bad either.

Pools: A great big plus for the hotel. The main pool area has a large and a smaller kids area. There is also a kids pool and a larger pool with small water slides and one large water slide. We spent hours at the pools and since the area is so large it never seems crowded.

Beach: The beach is fairly small. The beach starts out as sand for about 30 meters and then turns to small stones as you get nearer the water. You most definatly need shoes for the Sea. The sand was ok, however, we had problems trying to build sandcastles due to the dryness of the sand. There were 25-30 umbrellas and probably twice as many chairs.

Animation: The animation team was active and a lot of fun. They spoke several languages (German, English and Polish). The team members were always activly recruiting kids to participate in the club. Both of our kids spent several with the kids club. Sporting activities were basically water polo, soccer, and beach volleyballl. There is a basketball court and a ball available, but noone plays. There also a fairly nice tennis court.

Summary: This is a GREAT family hotel! We don't recommend this hotel for couples as it is set up 100% for families. We had a great time and would go back in a heart beat! The staff was very accomodating even when we requested a late check out due to a late flight (2030). For 25 Euro they gave us another room to spend the day in.

Just came back from two weeks holiday at Alex Beach. My general opinion the hotel is ok, but not exceptional. Below some more specific remarks:

Location:
The hotel is located in a small village of Theologos (also referred as Tholos). Apart from Alex Beach there are 2-3 more hotels and a few shops in the village, so it is quite calm and quiet. On the other hand, nowhere to go for a walk. There is a very good bus transport to Rhodes Town – it takes about 50 minutes to get there, buses are timely and reliable, but sometimes crowded. Hotel is only 15 minutes by car/bus from the airport, which means planes are close and it may get noisy from time to time (It was not bothersome to me).
The hotel is at the sea, with the direct access to its own beach (not obvious on Rhodes). The beach is about 250 meters from the main building, and it is even closer from the bungalows located in the garden.

Rooms:
Reasonable size and kept clean. No complaints at all.

Food:
Breakfast, lunch and dinner buffets. Sometimes repeatable, but usually there was something tasty to find. Mixture of Greek specialties (e.g. nice mousakas, disappointing gyros), Italian (pizza, pastas) and some international cuisine. It is worth to have one dinner in the grill restaurant at the beach, but mostly because of views and atmosphere, not food.

Swimming Pools:
Two fresh water swimming pools in the garden. Reasonable size of both of them, in the smaller one there are a few small slides for small kids and one bigger slide for older children and adults (photos attached). Definitely pools are strong side of Alex Beach.

Service:
Friendly and helpful staff at the reception as well as in restaurant and bars. The amenities are generally kept clean. The only problem I see is the sunbeds at the pools and on the beach. The crazy “reservation with towels” system, which makes you either get up at 7am in the morning and leave your towel on the sunbed, or you have no sunbed whatsoever.

Animation team:
The weak side (apart from the sunbeds) was for me the animation part. The hotel is advertised as a family friendly resort, so I assume the animation team is part of the package. Since vast majority of guests were German speaking (probably 80-90%), the animation program (including Kids Clubs) was in German only. Theoretically some of the animators were speaking English (one of them even some Polish) but in practice everything was for German speaking guests only. I believe bilingual service (including English) should not be such a big deal. Despite the language I generally believe the animation activities were quite boring and not very attractive.

My final opinion is the hotel is above average but not superb. Since it was not very expensive, I would agree it is value for money, particularly for the German speaking guests.

Great for small children. very good pool, slide, kinder garden, sandy beach with stons. A lot of shade in garden around the pool area.

Hotel is all inclusive (greek style). Food whas OK (nothing better than that).

Good animation for children 7 - 14 years. Kids Disco is good solution for evening out (bar for parents is near by).

Room s are small and not to beautiful. Take Bungallows by the Pool. Thats much nicer. Thay all have teraces in the garden in pool area.

Location of the Hotel is good. 10 minutes from airport, and some 30 minutes from Rhodos.

Totally shocked at how this hotel is a 4 star, I'm 37 now and had holidays abroad since I was 12, and this hotel has to be the worst I've stayed in.
Yes I did book this hotel, but it was just a quick decision through teletext, so yes it's my fault, but if I haven't enjoyed it. That's why I'm off after 2 days !!! How it's won a certificate I don't know, the rooms are an absolute disgrace for 4star, you can hear every single movement that's made in the hotel. Next door, the upper lever and the road.. It's full of German people which we only knew about when we got there. Pool was scruffy, the drinks were terrible. Didn't even try the food because we were up and out after a day !! Literally, don't go there, they are living in the 80s with there decor, and it's never a 4 star, wouldnt scrape a 2 !!! How they get away with this is beyond me.

Not a hotel for British people , let the Germans have it, I'd hate to see there houses..we were the only 2 Brits there
