.....Listening to the Artist's Choice collection from Norah Jones. The kids were late getting in for Christmas, but the CD arrived early and got my complete attention. While a fan of the artists, many of the songs were new to me, and at the same time I found under the tree a Single Barrel Bourbon, also new to me, On my second listening I had to "pause " the Lucinda Williams song to write this Thank You note. When was the last time you danced around the room to Dinah Washington or heard ."....a Little Sugar..."...from Nina Simone ? Thanks to the artist for picking and writing about these songs .thanks to HEAR Music for releasing it and 3 amigos for selling it, used, but like brand new ! It's a great companion to a gift I received :....featuring Norah Jones " A great Blue Note release where she teams up with some of these artists and many more. Time to un-cork the single barrel and push play. Thanks !

I was really looking forward to hearing Norah singing covers, or duets at least, of these songs from the track listings where she is listed as a co-artist on all of the songs. Not sure why she is listed as an artist, as she doesn't sing on any of the songs. Nice (mostly) old collection of music that she evidently picked out, but without being familiar with the Artist's Choice series there was know way to know that she didn't actually participate. The track listings on the Amazon page are misleading to say the least. Obviously I should have listened to the samples first, but I knew these songs, as I already have most of them in my collection. I also knew Norah would have done a great job on them if she had actually sung on any of the tracks. Oh well, glad I didn't buy it new. Four star collection of music, downgraded by a star for a deceptive Amazon webpage.

Old jazz but it's still cool enough even nowadays. Norah's choice, I understood of all of her musics. Unless this selection, I'd never listen these titles because of too plenty Jazz music titles in these era. Enjoyable musics here!
