The Niagara University Pre-Law Student Association recently returned from its annual trip to Washington, D.C., to attend oral arguments at the U.S. Supreme Court.

After attending oral arguments in City of Grants Pass v. Johnson and Smith v. Spizzirri, the students took a behind-the-scenes tour of the Supreme Court Building and met with Associate Justice Samuel A. Alito Jr. in his chambers to learn more about his role and the Supreme Court.

The students also took a tour of American University, led by NU alumnus Jacob Tucker, ’21, who was completing his law degree before pursuing a career in international human rights law. They also visited several monuments throughout the nation’s capital, including the WWII, Vietnam and Korean War memorials.
